“He was born without a name, with eyes that see too much. The Veil calls to him, and the world fears what he’ll become. In an Empire ruled by religion and lies, sometimes the only truth… is what you see when no one else can.”
In the Empire, power is a divine gift passed through Noble blood, but divinity comes at a cost.
Damian has no past. Four years ago, he awoke in a cult’s burning forest, with knowledge of Earth and this worlds story, but none of his past. Now, at sixteen, he's forced into a noble ceremony that was never meant for someone like him. When his Awakening reveals a forbidden power - eyes that gaze into the Veil - he's thrust into a world of political games, religious fanaticism, and ancient secrets better left forgotten.
As the world spirals into war and madness, Damian must survive assassins, heretics, the Inquisition, and worse - the truth about who he really is, and his past.
Torn between fate and freedom, haunted by a enigmatic girl trapped in a dream, and hunted by a world that fears what he might become...
Can Damian survive what lies ahead - or will the Veil claim him first?

The Authors writing style, background writing, charecatar writing etc is so good! this book has a lot of potential and I hope he sticks with it!
Yo, Enigmatical here. Obviously, I am the Author, so please allow the shameless rating and thank you in advance. If you’re wondering whether this novel is worth your time, let me break down exactly what makes it a good investment for your eyes. World Building: Does a Hyper-religious, Victorian Steampunk, Cthulu-adjacent world interest you? Great! It dosne't? You're lying. Jokes aside, I have been influenced by certain novels... But I've made my world so complex and unique that even I get confused sometimes. From layered political tension to ancient eldritch forces, the world isn’t just a backdrop - it's a character in itself. There's a ton to unravel here, so if you like lore-rich worlds, you're in for a treat. Main Character: Do you like sarcastic, mysterious, brave yet brutally human characters? Well, Damian covers that. I've tried to make him as human as possible, and also extremely interesting at the same time. Since this story is told in first-person, I’ve made it my mission to make him compelling. He’s not just a tool to move the story - he is the story. If I do my job right, he’ll make you laugh, wince, think, and maybe even cry. He’s made a deal with fate, and fate’s dealing dirty. Politics and GeoPolitics: From shadow wars to cold wars, cults to governments, divine orders to heretics, the world doesn’t revolve around Damian, he is not the centre of the universe. He’s just one piece on a very, very large board. And while he’s fighting to survive and save what he can, the rest of the world is burning or scheming in the background. I want the story to breathe, and feel dynamic as you read it. Every faction has depth, history, and its own objectives. No one’s sitting still. Side characters: No bimbos. No trope-bots. No emotionless god-MC clones with plot armor thicker than their skull. Every side character has a soul. Some are twisted, some are sweet, some are terrifying, usually all three, but they all serve the story, not the stereotype. And if something feels cliché? That’s the setup before the rug gets yanked from under you. I like to do that, and quite a bit. Plot: Obviously, this is the most important part to people. And let me tell you, there's a reason I spent more than year sitting on this idea for a novel rather than writing it, and that's because of how ambitious it is. Even though Eye of God is written from the first person, the plot line is anything but straightforward. There are subplots within subplots, mysteries tucked into monologues, and long-buried truths waiting to destroy everything. You might think you’ve figured it out. You haven’t. Anyway, enough from me. If you want something dark, ambitious, emotional, and just the right amount of unhinged - come read Eye of God. This journey is going to be long... and worth it. Thanks for reading, Enigmatical
