Chapter 75: The Daily Life of a Couple Officially Begins
"Kiss... kiss you? Is that something couples are supposed to do?"
Erina's face instantly flushed bright red, and she stammered, "This is way too shameless! How could I possibly do that?"
Sui was at a loss for words. 'Isn't this tsundere a little too conservative?'
But then again, he realized, Erina hadn't been exposed to much growing up, having received a traditional Japanese aristocratic education. She even had to read romance manga in secret, so her conservativeness wasn't all that surprising.
"Erina, you're way too conservative," Sui remarked with a slight sigh.
"Of course I am! After all, we've only known each other for a few months! Even though... even though I 'had' to agree to be your girlfriend, kissing is still too indecent!" Erina blurted out, her face burning with embarrassment.
"Alright, then how about a hug instead?" Sui lowered his expectations and opened his arms.
Erina hesitated for a moment before shyly stepping forward and embracing him, her face still a deep shade of red.
'Hmm, she smells nice, and she's so soft.' Sui thought to himself. The sensation was particularly pleasant, especially the soft, bouncy feeling from her chest.
But the tsundere quickly pulled away, barely holding him for a few seconds before retreating in embarrassment.
Just as Sui was starting to feel a pang of regret, the system's voice rang in his head.
"Last night, we detected a traveler from another world entering this one."
"Huh? Someone from another world crossed over?" Sui was startled.
"Otherworldly beings can't enter unless the host has opened a portal to their world. However, a malfunction occurred yesterday," the system explained calmly.
Sui frowned, annoyed. "Your professional standards are seriously lacking, aren't they?"
"As compensation, I've granted the host a dragon maid," the system replied matter-of-factly.
"Alright," Sui muttered, rolling his eyes. 'As long as it's not someone from the Dragon Ball universe, Tohru should be able to handle them just fine.'
By this time, he and Erina had reached the bottom of the stairs, where they were greeted by Hisako.
"By the way, I noticed a new motorbike at the entrance," Hisako commented.
"Oh, I asked Sōma to buy it for me yesterday," Sui explained. They had been having a party at the Polaris Dormitory, and Sui had asked Sōma to help him buy one online. He hadn't expected it to be delivered so quickly.
"Why did you buy a motorbike?" Erina asked, puzzled.
"To ride, of course," Sui replied, somewhat exasperated. "The academy grounds are huge—it takes at least half an hour to walk anywhere."
"You could just take my car," Erina offered, her cheeks tinged with pink.
Before, she'd avoided offering because of her secretary's watchful eye, but now, there was no need to worry.
"Thanks, but I prefer riding a motorbike," Sui said with a shrug. He walked to the door, took a look at his new big boy, and grinned. "Erina, want me to give you a ride?"
"M-Me? Ride your bike to school?" Erina's face turned crimson. 'Isn't this straight out of a romance manga?'
While Erina hesitated, Hisako smiled mischievously and said, "Erina-sama, I'll head to school first."
"Hisako!" Erina called out in embarrassment as Hisako left.
After a moment's hesitation, she finally climbed onto the back of Sui's bike.
And so, the two of them ride to school together.
Erina sat on the back seat, her arms wrapped around Sui's waist, feeling his warmth. Her face was flushed, and her heart pounded wildly in her chest.
Yet, despite her embarrassment, there was a certain sweetness and contentment that she had never felt before.
"Wait, is that... Miss Erina? Sitting on the back of a motorbike with the transfer student?"
"Damn! I'm so jealous! Are they dating?"
"If I could trade places with him, I'd gladly lose ten years of my life!"
The students they passed were left in shock, especially the boys, many of whom groaned in envy.
After all, Erina—Tōtsuki's "God Tongue"—was a goddess in their eyes!
Eventually, Sui brought the motorbike to a stop in front of one of the teaching buildings.
"Sui? Wait... is that Erina-chi sitting behind him?"
Yoshino, Megumi, and a few others approached, their faces filled with surprise.
"Are you two really dating?" Yoshino asked, her voice rising in disbelief.
The nearby students immediately turned to look.
Erina jumped up like a startled cat, her face bright red. Covering her mouth, she stammered in embarrassment and anger, "N-No! Don't start spreading rumors!"
At that moment, she wants to strangle Yoshino for being so loud.
"Don't worry, Erina-chi. I definitely didn't tell anyone else that you and Sui were living together," Yoshino said with a reassuring smile.
"You only told Marui, Aoki, Isshiki-senpai, and Granny Fumiyo," Ryoko added with a smirk.
"Alright, let's just head to class," Sui said, deciding it was best to move on.
Afterward, he and Erina parted ways as they each went to their respective classes with the others from the Polaris Dormitory.
Meanwhile, back in Sui's room…
"Sui's scent is so nice," Tohru murmured, holding one of Sui's shirts and inhaling its fragrance. She looked blissfully intoxicated by the smell. "I wonder when Sui will come back. Should I prepare dinner for him?"
Outside the door, two petty thieves were attempting to break in.
"Hehehe, no one's home around this time," one of them whispered gleefully as they finally pried the door open.
But as soon as they stepped inside, they were greeted by the sight of a massive reptilian head, staring at them with its golden eyes.
For a moment, there was nothing but dead silence.
And then…
"Mr. Police! Help us!"
"Godzilla's in the apartment!"
The two thieves fled at top speed, running straight toward the police station.
