At Venue A, the three Shokugekis had officially begun, drawing a crowd of students eager to watch.
"These three Shokugeki matches have been approved by the school's Shokugeki Administration Bureau. The stakes from both sides have been verified. Now, let's invite the contestants to the stage!" announced MC Rei Kawashima.
"Kiyoshi Gouda Hayashi from the Chanko Nabe Research Society, and Miyoko Hojo from the Rare Ingredients Research Society. The theme of their battle is meat!"
Miyoko and Gouda Hayashi Kiyoshi stepped onto the Shokugeki stage.
"I never thought our Chanko Nabe Research Society would sink so low as to be challenged by first-year students," Gouda Hayashi Kiyoshi sneered. "If it were Erina, that would be understandable. But you? There's no way you'll beat me."
Miyoko's expression remained cold. "Someone like you isn't even worth our leader's time."
"The next two matches are Takumi Aldini from the Italian Cuisine Research Society versus Subaru Mimasaka from the Rare Ingredients Research Society! Their theme is vegetables," Rei continued. "And finally, Mizuta Aomori from the Dairy Products Research Society versus Nao Sadatsuka from the Rare Ingredients Research Society. The theme is dairy products!"
As Rei's voice echoed through the venue, Takumi and Subaru, along with Mizuta and Nao, also made their way to the Shokugeki stage.
"They're taking on three research societies at once?" one student murmured.
"Are we about to see a full-scale research society group war?" another chimed in.
"Is this the start of another chaotic era?"
The audience buzzed with speculation. Totsuki had long seen peaceful relations between research societies, but there were periods of chaos in its history, where research groups would engage in frequent battles, competing over territory, equipment, and ingredients. The golden age of Polaris Dormitory had emerged during such a time.
"Soma, isn't that Takumi?" Yoshino asked, noticing one of the contestants.
Sōma blinked in surprise. "Yeah, it's him. We've got a bit of a rivalry."
Though Soma and Takumi had a cordial relationship, when it came to research society battles, Soma chose not to intervene.
Suddenly, whispers filled the room.
"Miss Erina is here!"
"Why is Miss Erina attending?"
"They say she's a member of the Rare Ingredients Research Society, and she's pretty close to the transfer students."
Erina's arrival caused a stir among the crowd as she made her way to a private room above the venue.
"What's Sui up to now?" Erina muttered to herself. "Why would he challenge multiple research societies at once?"
—
Megumi, nervously watching the unfolding battles, voiced her concerns. "Aside from Takumi, the other opponents are second-year students. Do you think Subaru and the others are really going to be okay?"
"They'll be fine," Sui reassured her with a calm smile.
Miyoko and Nao were formidable competitors. Sui had also provided them with high-quality ingredients—Miyoko had red pork, Nao had premium milk from Miltank, and Subaru had almond cabbage. With such ingredient advantages, there was little doubt they would emerge victorious.
As the contestants began preparing their dishes, three judges took their seats, officially starting the Shokugekis.
"It's really lively here," Kuga remarked as he arrived to watch the spectacle. "I didn't expect Sui to stir up a research society war."
"You were just like this back in the day—arrogant and reckless," Nene Kinokuni retorted without holding back.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kuga shot back, annoyed.
"You were the one who challenged Eishi-senpai to a Shokugeki when we were just freshmen, weren't you?" Nene teased, poking at Kuga's past mistakes.
Isshiki chuckled, stepping in to calm the bickering. "Alright, alright, no need to argue. It's great that the younger generation is showing such passion! Even I feel inspired—I'd love to see Polaris Dormitory regain its former glory."
Nene bit her lip and fell silent, unwilling to continue the banter.

Time flew by, and the first dish was completed by Gouda Hayashi Kiyoshi.
"Please enjoy my beef chanko-nabe!" he declared proudly, presenting his dish.
His team cheered him on. "Captain, we can't lose to a bunch of first-years!"
"That's right! Our Chanko Nabe Research Society won't be humiliated by those brats!"
Gouda nodded in agreement. "It's fine to lose to Erina, but I won't tolerate losing to you!"
Miyoko, unfazed by his words, brought out her own dish—Chongqing(Spicy Hot) hotpot.
The battle of the hotpots was on.
"Your research group is barely a few days old, and you think you can go to war with three societies? You're overestimating yourselves!" several students in the audience jeered.
"Yeah, crush them!"
Despite the early cheers for the Chanko Nabe Research Society, the atmosphere shifted as the judges tasted Miyoko's hotpot.
"This pork belly is exceptional. When paired with the spicy broth, the flavor is simply extraordinary!"
"Yes, the meat is so tender and flavorful! The spiciness is invigorating, making it impossible to stop eating!"
The judges were captivated by the dish, and the scores soon reflected their delight.
Three to zero—Miyoko Hojo won!
"What… How is this possible?" Gouda Hayashi Kiyoshi fell to his knees, stunned by the result.
"We'll use your activity room as a storage space," Miyoko remarked coolly.
"Damn it! What's going to happen to our Chanko Nabe Research Society?" The once-proud members now looked utterly defeated, devastated that their hard-earned activity room would be repurposed as mere storage.

Meanwhile, the other contestants were also finishing their dishes. Nao swiftly defeated her opponent, leaving no room for doubt. Subaru, known for his skill in mimicking other chefs, used an identical dish to outmatch Takumi Aldini.
In all three Shokugeki battles, the Rare Ingredients Research Society emerged victorious, winning with perfect scores of 3 to 0 across the board.
As the final results were announced, silence fell over the hall. No one could believe what they had just witnessed.
