Chapter 168: The Tsundere and Cute Hero Who Was Taken Advantage Of

Emi's hair was slightly disheveled, her cheeks flushed, and her body felt overheated. She replayed the scene in her mind—Sui doing push-ups on top of her, stealing multiple kisses on her face. The embarrassment made her both flustered and irritated, and she shot him a fierce glare.

Sui, looking innocent, tried to explain, "You told me to go faster, so I may have misjudged my strength."

Emi clenched her teeth. From childhood until now, she had never been in such an intimate situation with a boy.

"Alright, you two young parents, let's put the bickering aside. The third event is about to start!" The elementary school teacher handed them two bottles of water with a smile. "You've won first place in the last two events, so do your best this time as well."

"Haha, looks like the couple is in great spirits."

"Don't be so sure. I think they might not be married yet."

"Really? Well, it won't be long before we see them attending future sports meets for their younger child, right?"

The surrounding parents laughed and whispered, clearly under the impression that Sui and Emi were a young couple—or at the very least, young lovers.

Furious and embarrassed, Emi gritted her teeth and snapped, "We have 'nothing' to do with each other!"

But her protests only drew amused smiles, with everyone assuming she was just being shy.

Soon, the third event began—this time, a three-legged race.

Sui and Emi's ankles were tied together, and they needed to run a 100-meter distance as a team.

"Don't slow me down," Sui warned.

"As if 'I' would slow you down! I should be the one saying that to you!" Emi retorted angrily. "I'm a hero, after all. I won't lose to something as simple as this!"

Her competitive spirit ignited, and she vowed to outperform him.

At the signal, all the parents launched into action.

Emi immediately stepped forward, but she moved the leg that wasn't tied. Meanwhile, Sui took a step with their bound leg. The lack of coordination sent Emi tumbling to the ground, pulling Sui down with her.

As Sui fell, he instinctively reached out, accidentally grabbing something soft.

Emi froze.

Five whole seconds passed.

"You pervert! Get your filthy hands off me!" Emi's face turned crimson, her voice cracking with frustration. She was on the verge of tears, mortified that 'that' part of her had been touched by the demon king himself.

Sui, flustered, was speechless. The situation was… awkward, to say the least. And, to make matters worse, he realized that the tsundere hero was... rather petite in that area.

Compared to Tohru, or even Erina, Emi's figure was much more modest.

Noticing the flicker of disdain in Sui's expression, Emi nearly exploded with anger.

'What?!' she thought. 'Not only did this shameless devil touch me there, but he looked down on me too? Why?!'

"Let's try again. This time, follow my lead," Sui said, pulling her up.

By now, the other parents had already gained quite a lead.

"I got it!" Emi growled, still seething.

But not long after, they stumbled again, and this time, Emi fell into Sui's arms.

"This is your fault again!" she accused.

"No, it's your fault! You're the one who doesn't know how to cooperate!"

They bickered as they kept tripping, much to the amusement of the spectators. Laughter echoed around them as the two clumsy participants kept falling over each other.

Emi felt like crying. Each time they fell, they ended up tangled together in some awkward embrace, which only made her feel more humiliated.

Meanwhile, in the student group competition, things were heating up as well.

"Hey, Kanna-chan, is that your brother over there?" Saikawa Riko asked, her voice full of admiration. "Wow, I heard they won first place twice already!"

Saikawa Riko, Kanna's classmate, was a girl with a shiny, round forehead and an intense admiration for Kanna.

"Mhm," Kanna nodded, her gaze fixed on Sui, who was competing nearby.

Although she was a bit sad that Tohru couldn't attend, she was still overjoyed that Sui had come to her sports meet.

"Okay! Then let's do our best too!" Saikawa said, her voice filled with enthusiasm.

"Mhm," Kanna nodded again, her eyes sparkling.

Soon, the morning events came to an end. Unsurprisingly, Sui and Emi finished last in the three-legged race due to their complete lack of coordination.

The spectators couldn't help but chuckle, thinking that the young couple might not be the best at working together after all.

However, thanks to their stellar performance in the earlier events, Sui and Emi still secured first place in the parents' group.

Emi, however, remained thoroughly upset. Throughout the morning, Sui had either carried her on his back, held her in his arms, or tied himself to her—each scenario more embarrassing than the last. Her face was red from start to finish, and she felt utterly mortified.

Although Sui hadn't meant to take advantage of her, she couldn't help but feel flustered and angry about how things had turned out.

During lunch break, everyone gathered on the grass to enjoy their bento boxes.

The mothers proudly unveiled beautifully prepared lunches, dazzling everyone around them. Kanna, watching nearby, looked on eagerly.

"Come on, let's eat," Sui said as he walked over, taking Kanna's hand with a smile.

"Mm!" Kanna nodded enthusiastically.

The bento Sui had prepared was elaborate and clearly made with great care. It featured delicate sushi, various kinds of tempura, steamed dumplings, and grilled meat skewers. As soon as he opened it, a rich aroma filled the air, attracting the attention of nearby parents.

Sui's bento immediately outshone the others.

"Wow, did you make all of this? That's amazing!" one of the nearby parents said to Emi, clearly impressed.

Emi's face flushed once more. Embarrassed, she quickly clarified, "It wasn't me—it was him."

"Kanna, your brother is amazing! He's not only good at sports but cooking too!" Saikawa Riko gushed in awe.

Other students looked over as well, eyes wide with envy as they stared at the bento in Kanna's hands.

"Mm!" Kanna beamed, her eyes shining with joy.

Emi, observing how Sui gently passed food to Kanna, couldn't help but be surprised. She hadn't expected to see such a caring and tender side of him.

'Maybe… he's not so bad after all,' she thought, a little reluctantly.
