"When Erina-chi becomes the next commander-in-chief, won't Sui essentially be the co-master of Totsuki? Polaris Dormitory might as well be his domain too, right?" Yoshino teased, giggling.
Erina's cheeks instantly flushed, and she stammered shyly, "Well, isn't it too soon to talk about things like marriage? At the very least, we should wait until after graduation."
"Huh? Miss Erina, are you planning to marry Sui as soon as you graduate?" Ryoko laughed, and the others joined in, their eyes twinkling with amusement. Everyone, except for Megumi, who seemed a bit downcast.
"Tsk tsk, planning to get married right after graduation, yet you said it's too soon," Yoshino teased again, clicking her tongue.
Only then did Erina realize her slip of the tongue, her face turning crimson as if it might drip blood.
"Alright, stop teasing Miss Erina," Ryoko said quickly, stepping forward to shield her from the jokes.
Next, Sui placed the last of the mineral earthworms into the soil, watching as it burrowed in immediately.
"Now we can plant the seeds," Isshiki said with a smile. "I have high-quality vegetable seeds that mature quickly."
"Thank you very much," Sui replied without hesitation.
"Haha, no need to be so formal," Isshiki said warmly.
Everyone then changed into gardening clothes. Megumi donned long boots, a yellow apron that reached her knees, and a green plaid shirt. Her long blue hair was tied into two braids that hung in front of her, with a pink ribbon around her neck and a straw hat on her head. She looked like a lively deer in the forest—pure, energetic, and with a fresh breeze of innocence. Anyone who saw her would feel a sense of peace.
"Megumi, this look suits you perfectly," Sui complimented, his eyes lighting up.
"Really?" Megumi's pure brown eyes gleamed with a hint of shyness, and a gentle smile graced her face.
"Erina-sama, you don't need to do this kind of hard work yourself, right? I can handle it," Hisako said, trying to persuade her.
"It's alright. This is our family vegetable garden, after all. It feels meaningful to work in it personally, don't you think?" Erina replied, smiling gently. She wore a blue plaid shirt, long boots, and a straw hat, her sleeves rolled up to reveal her snow-white wrists.
To Erina, this garden was like her and Sui's shared project. As part of their "family," she naturally wanted to contribute.
"You look beautiful like this, Erina," Sui remarked, his eyes lighting up once again.
Although Erina was dressed simply in farm clothes, the contrast only highlighted her noble elegance, making her resemble a graceful lady from the European countryside—simple yet dignified.
Erina blushed slightly, feeling a warm sweetness in her heart.
Afterward, everyone worked together to plant the seeds Isshiki had brought, which included quick-growing vegetables like bean sprouts, water spinach, cabbage, and lettuce. The bean sprouts, having already germinated, would be ready for harvesting within a week.
Suddenly, an idea struck Sui, and he mentally asked the system, "By the way, can I grow fantasy vegetables?"
"Fantasy vegetable ingredients require specific conditions, but with the help of mineral earthworms, they can now be cultivated," the system responded.
"Really? That's amazing!" Sui felt thrilled. As his culinary skills grew, his need for high-quality vegetables increased as well. Growing them himself could provide a stable supply, and perhaps he could even open a garden specializing in fantasy vegetables, selling them globally.
"If Erina eventually takes over as Totsuki's commander-in-chief, Totsuki would practically be mine. Maybe I can make fantasy vegetables one of Totsuki's unique signatures," he mused.
"So, what can I grow now?" Sui asked.
"Jet-Black Rice needs extremely cold environments, and cream matsutake requires pine trees, so neither can be planted right now. However, almond cabbage and marshmallow pumpkins can be cultivated."
"And how much will they cost?" Sui inquired.
"You can purchase ten almond cabbage seeds and five marshmallow pumpkin seeds per day, each costing one-tenth of the price of the original fantasy ingredients."
"That's not too expensive," Sui noted, his eyes brightening. Then, a thought occurred to him. "What about other fantasy ingredients like meat?"
"You can buy cubs of meat-based fantasy ingredients, but raising them is highly complex. It's not recommended at this time."
Sui nodded in agreement. After all, creatures like red-haired pigs, Freezer Bison, and Shrimpfly were wild and untamed. Domesticating them seemed unrealistic, not to mention the highly mobile Marble Tuna, which still eludes farming efforts.
"But fruit-based fantasy ingredients can be grown," the system added.
"Of course! How could I forget?" Sui's excitement grew. He already had several fruit fantasy ingredients, like raffia, Dia Grapes, peachy peaches, and pear bread. Although the growth cycle of fruit trees was long, planting them now meant enjoying them in the future.
Sui immediately purchased a batch of almond cabbage and marshmallow pumpkin seeds.
"Are these cabbage and pumpkin seeds?" Isshiki, knowledgeable about vegetables, recognized the seeds at a glance.
"Yes, it's the same cabbage you tasted last time, Isshiki-senpai," Sui replied with a smile.
