Chapter 466: Farmer (3)

Sui planted seeds for Dia Grapes, Peachy Peaches, and Pear Bread, but it would take several years before their fruits could be harvested. Moreover, the Pear Bread Tree thrived in tropical climates, so whether it would grow well here was uncertain.

In addition, Sui dug a large pit in the field, two meters wide and one meter deep. He lined the bottom with smooth pebbles and filled it with water. In a few days, mineral earthworms would purify the water, turning it into high-quality, pure drinking water—perfect for cooking and daily use.

Following Sui's advice, Isshiki and the others planned to dig small ponds like this in their own gardens when they returned home.

"Sui, it's time to eat," Megumi approached with a gentle and kind smile.

"Got it," Sui nodded in response.

With the help of Miltank and Chansey, Blissey was clumsily carrying out the dining table and chairs. Seeing this, Sōma rushed over to help.

"What a sweet little helper," Erina said with a soft smile, gently patting Blissey on the head in praise.

Blissey cheered happily at Erina's affection.

"Soon, your favorite cabbages will be growing in this field," Sui said with a smile, patting Blissey's head again. "So, you'd better keep an eye on the garden!"

Blissey flailed its tiny arms excitedly, indicating it understood.

The other Pokémon nodded seriously. From now on, their food supply would depend on this field, so they were determined to take good care of it.

"What a cute little helper," Ryoko said, crouching down to play with Blissey, her eyes full of admiration.

"Yeah, I want one too!" Yoshino chimed in, clearly envious. "Imagine having a pet that's also a nanny, housekeeper, and food provider. I'm so jealous of Erina-chi."

"Hehe, if both of you marry Sui, you'll get one too!" Sōma teased with a grin.

Both girls blushed and shot him icy glares.

Soon, everyone gathered around the table, basking in the warm sunshine and enjoying the fresh air as they began to eat lunch.

Sui had also set up a small table for the Pokémon, where he placed their favorite dishes—almond cabbage, black rice, and coral candy.

"Sui, I made these rice balls, please have some," Megumi offered, pulling out a few lunchboxes and handing one of the rice balls to Sui with a gentle smile.

"Wow, Megumi, you even brought your own lunch! I should be the one treating everyone, not the other way around," Sui said, scratching his head in embarrassment. Everyone had come to help him, yet it was Megumi who had prepared lunch for them.

"Haha, it's nothing really," Megumi replied with a warm smile. "I was just worried you and Miss Erina wouldn't have enough time to cook for everyone, so I made these this morning and brought them over."

"I wondered what you were doing in the kitchen so early! So, it was rice balls!" Sōma took a bite and beamed. "They're delicious!"

"Megumi, you're so thoughtful," Sui said with a sigh of admiration.

"Of course. Megumi will make an excellent bride someday," Yoshino said matter-of-factly.

"Hahaha, really?" Megumi blushed slightly, glancing shyly at Sui, secretly hoping she could become a bride one day.

Meanwhile, Erina puffed out her cheeks in jealousy.

"Well, Erina will make an excellent bride too," Sui added quickly, trying to placate her.

"Of course," Erina replied with a proud smile.

"I also brought some barley tea and green tea. Help yourselves," Megumi said, placing two thermoses on the table.

At that moment, Blissey and Chansey carefully brought out the lunch that Sui and Erina had prepared earlier in the morning. The meal consisted of pumpkin rice and beef patties, along with sides of raw pumpkin marshmallow and shrimp tempura. The soup was a seafood broth made from bonito, shrimp shells, and kelp, and to drink, there was fresh peach juice.

"What kind of pumpkin is this? It's absolutely delicious," Isshiki remarked as he took a bite of the raw pumpkin slices, impressed by their sweet and tender flavor. A touch of vinegar had been added to bring out the sweetness even more, creating a fresh and natural taste.

"This pumpkin is incredible—it's bursting with pumpkin flavor, sweet and soft. So good!" Megumi exclaimed, her cheeks puffed out adorably as she savored a large spoonful of pumpkin rice.

"This peach juice is so refreshing and sweet," Yoshino chimed in, sipping her drink.

"And the seafood soup—it's fantastic," Ryoko added.

Everyone seemed to have something positive to say about each dish.

"I made the seafood soup with a special type of shrimp shells. Feel free to take some home later," Sui offered with a smile.

"That's wonderful, thank you so much!" Ryoko replied, clearly delighted.

"Sui, what kind of pumpkin is this? I've never had such a delicious one before," Isshiki asked, his interest clearly piqued.

"Oh, it's a special variety. I gave you a few seeds earlier, remember?" Sui replied.

"Really? That's fantastic! So, I'll be able to grow these pumpkins myself soon!" Isshiki's excitement was obvious. Although Sui had only given him a few seeds, he knew he could eventually collect more and expand his harvest.

"By the way, Sui, if I can't find make it after graduation, how about we open a farm together? Vegetables like these would definitely be a hit!" Isshiki suggested with a grin, clearly enthused by the idea.

"Isshiki-senpai, don't say such things! What do you mean, 'if you can't make it'?" Yoshino muttered in annoyance, clearly not pleased with the comment.

"Haha, I think it's a great idea. Yoshino, Ryoko, you should join us too!" Isshiki burst out laughing.
