“You can come with me Xavier, my parents wouldn’t mind.” Della suddenly spoke up and the boy looked at her with wide eyes, a hint of blush climbing into his cheeks. After all, Della was also about the same age as he was, her proposal sounded quite alluring to him but Xavier had other things in mind. 


“I want to leave with you, Bone Demon. I can work for you, be your errand boy, anything.” The boy said with a pleading face, “please, don’t say no.” He added and Kurtz who already opened his mouth to speak gave a wryly smile. 


“I am sorry Xavier, you should leave with Della. Maybe sometimes in the future, we could talk about your proposal.” He said before walking away and leaving the down casted boy. Kurtz however knew the future was still quite bleak, he was already burdened with Dunn’s loss and the least thing he would want to do was put the kid in danger for being near him. 


“Keep up, Vampires.” Kurtz suddenly heard Vera’s shout behind him and he turned towards her with a smile.
