The Magician King staggered a step forwards, as the clashing auras on his body turned even more furious as darkness threatened to consume his purple aura but there was a reason the King had avoided engaging his enemies directly since he had bonded the Dragon. 


It was not that he was personally weak, in fact, it was far from that since the magician would never allow a weak Warlock to rule them. The reason he had hadn’t been fighting personally was that, apart from the fact that he never really needed to fight, there was also the fact that just like the Vampire Queen said, his control over the Dragon was not absolute, after all, the only reason he was able to subdue it in the first place was because the Dragon had been tremendously weakened by it various centuries of struggling for freedom in its cruel bondage.
