As Selene walked through the rainforest, she continuously used [Analysis] and [Analytical Appraisal], on every animal, insect, and plant she saw. She was in such awe by the beauty of the rainforest, that she completely forgot her task of killing furred animals for their hide.
"I can stall for a bit. I kinda feel bad wanting to kill them now, they're all so peaceful and everything is in order. The jaguars hunting the monkeys, the birds eating worms and lizards, the snakes catching a rodent here and there, it's all so orderly and peaceful, who am I to ruin that?" Selene said with a smile as a male jaguar ran up to her and allowed her to pet him.
"I cannot let any part of any animal I kill go to waste, that's simply disrespectful to the natural order." Selene resolved and walked deeper into the rainforest. She noticed the magicules in the air were becoming denser and more abundant, indicative of stronger creatures. She dubbed this area, the inner forest.
As she walked deeper into the inner forest, she saw something in the treeline behind her. Due to [Universal Perception] being a subskill of [Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt], she could see from all angles around her without a single blind spot.
'Somebody or something is clearly watching me. Nothing is telling me it's hostile, so probably just cautionary.' Selene continued her walk and continued to appraise the different plants within the inner forest.
"It seems the dense magicules here affected the flora, which means it's probably done the same for the fauna." Selene placed a few of the herbs she appraised in her basket. The figure in the treeline continued to trail her, much to Selene's annoyance.
"Okay, this is annoying, can you come out?" Selene raised her voice but was gentle with her demand. The figure didn't move and continued to stay in the treeline.
"Tsk, I'm not going to ask again," Selene frowned and the figure still didn't move, "Fine. Have it your way."
Selene used her intrinsic skill [Wind Manipulation] to create a gust of wind strong enough to blow the figure out of the trees.
*THUMP*
"Owwwww," Selene heard the voice of a young boy cry out in pain. She walked over to where the boy was and he looked up at her shocked and she was a bit shocked as well.
The boy had tanned skin, was dressed in animal hide, had a bow around his back, and a small stone knife on his waist. He had light brown hair and looked entirely human, if it wasn't for the pair of spotted ears on his head and an equally spotted tail.
"Hello," Selene gave him a small smile and wave, "I'm assuming you were the one watching me?"
The boy was too shocked to speak and ran away. Selene sighed, "Looks like I'm going hunting…"
Selene used [Ultra Tracking] another subskill of [Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt], and his footsteps and scent trail were highlighted red on the ground and in the air.
"He must be able to see in the dark for him to follow me so accurately. I want to appraise him or his kind," Selene used [Wind Manipulation] to increase her running speed and tracked the boy down.
"The magicules in this area are incredibly dense and way more abundant than the inner forest, maybe this is the center?" Selene made note to appraise everything later. After 5 more minutes of running, she stopped at a tree and looked at a small village from above.
"50 residents including the boy," Selene watched the boy enter a larger hut, "That must be where their leader lives."
"These people must be nocturnal or something, it's nighttime yet they're still so busy. Let's go introduce ourselves."

"Mother, Father, I have news!" The young boy from before yelled as he entered the hut. Soon a muscular man with black hair and a pair of black cat ears came out along with a beautiful woman who looked similar to the boy only her hair was lighter.
"What is it, son?" The man asked with concern at his son's troubled expression.
"While I was hunting looking for birds, I saw a beautiful woman! She had golden hair but really scary golden eyes, and her ears were long, and she could speak our language! She also knew where I was and used the winds to knock me down!" The boy exclaimed and his father frowned.
"Are you sure you weren't tracked? A person like that might be a potential enemy." His father sternly questioned.
"Unfortunately he didn't, but fortunately for you guys, I'm not an enemy! Just a curious elf," A melodic voice echoed throughout the hut, and the boy's parents immediately drew their bows.
"How did you get in here?!" The boy's mother asked as Selene stepped out of the corner.
"I've been in here for the past 5 minutes. I simply concealed my presence," Selene shrugged not caring about the weapons pointed at her. She knew they couldn't harm her and they were completely justified to aim them at her anyway.
They saw Selene's golden eyes glow as she appraised them.

Selene smiled, "It's nice to meet you all. My name is Selene Roseris, I come in peace. I saw your son tailing me while I was foraging, so I decided to tail him back." Selene raised her hands as a gesture of peace.
Duras and Joesia lowered their weapons partly because they understood the woman in front of them was no joke. A part of their body screamed at them to run away but a larger part felt at peace in her presence, like they were with their mother again.
"I apologize for my son's actions, he can be overly curious sometimes." Duras slightly bowed and shot a look at Erotas.
"No, no, you don't have to apologize. I'm also overly curious, hence why I was walking around so late," Selene smiled.
"Then perhaps I should warn you. A day's walk away, in the center of the forest, lives a monster of titanic proportions. My ancestors once encountered it and named it Amhuluk. I can sense your great power but I would advise you to steer clear of that monster's path." Duras said with a tinge of fear lacing his tone.
'A monster in the center of the forest huh? I'm not really a fighter but what better way to test my strength than a huge beast?' Selene thought with a smile and spoke, "I appreciate your warning Duras, I truly do, but I doubt such a beast can harm me. Anything else I should be warned of?"
Duras sighed heavily, "I hope your strength can match Amhuluk. To the east are humans that hail from beyond the sea. They wield sticks that fire small metal balls at great speed and power and swords. The last time I observed them, they were hauling in other humans that were defeated by them."
'Guns, swords, and slaves? What year is this? I have a feeling the modern age is far out of reach..' Selene internally sighed, "Thank you. If I encounter them, I will handle them accordingly. Farewell, Duras, Joesia, and Erotas." Selene then vanished with the wind.
"I feel a great change coming upon this forest.." Duras said as he stared at the full moon.
