"Why would you suddenly assume that I'm gay? Besides, Shin killed his parents. There's no way I'd like someone who is unclean like that."
Kanae just laughed at him.
"Let me explain, Niro Mitsumi.
You two met in elementary, correct? You were a lonely nerd, and he was an academically smart troublemaker. He would often bully you in your first year. You wanted to befriend him when you both graduated elementary, but you thought you would never meet him again, so you tried to forget about his existence. In junior high, however, you both ended up in the same school. Was it fate? No. It was because Shin harbored feelings for you even though he would bully you every day. You didn't realize it, but you also started gaining feelings for him during your second year in junior high. But things took a dark turn during your first year in senior high. Shin disappeared. The next thing you know is that he killed his parents and joined a secret organization full of assassins but then left after a few months. He then joined the Rogues, correct? And you're still waiting for him? You would still love him even though you never became friends? Even though he's a criminal? Accept it, Niro. You like him. Don't lie, I know everything."
Niro just stared at Kanae in pure horror. The light in his eyes disappearing after learning something new about the man he loves.
"You said too much, Miss Kanae.. Too much. Too much…"
Suddenly, all of the lights in the library turned off, leaving a sobbing Niro in the dark, until a mysterious figure covered his mouth. Then, the lights turned on again, revealing a man with pale blond hair, wearing a cloak and a white face mask.
"Who are you? Did you hurt him?! If you did, I will kill you!!!!" The unknown man questioned Kanae.
"Hello, Shin Uehara. A pleasure to meet you." Said the omnipresent creator, in a smug tone.
"You… Kanae Kyoko..?" Shin then let go of Niro and ran off after knowing the name of the woman in front of him.
It seemed weird. The atmosphere suddenly changed. The library was a void. Kanae's brain started twisting and turning. Memories from the past swam back to the surface as she hit a bookshelf.
"Akito Tanaka, how dare you terminate my son's precious gems?! You should be ashamed of yourself! Bring them back now!" The mother of a Rogue once said.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Tanaka! Please bring my brother back! He only stole from Mr. Kagami!" Formerly said by a Rogue.
This is pathetic. I have yet to commit malicious acts, then this is the fate entrusted to me? I haven't done anything wrong, think about it.
Those voices were both related to the Rogues, or is a Rogue. What do they want from me? I'm not the one who judges their fate. Ask Oliver Partridge or Julia Hokomori, not Akito Tanaka.
Akito did not notice that a former Green Rogue was watching him from afar. That person was none other than Ryuu Kagami, the successor of the Abyss' king. Though Ryuu isn't a part of the Rogues anymore, his dislike for Akito Tanaka remains unchanging.
"Miss Hokomori, I have spotted Mr. Tanaka at the Central Wis Public Library. He is currently with an alumnus of Faerydae University. The alumnus graduated high school with a general average of 99. He currently studies at a prestigious institution, though I do not know what it's called." The former Rogue was speaking to a World God through his phone.
"Thank you, Ryuu. You may send him the invite now." Said the World God the former Rogue was speaking to.
Ryuu then hung up and started to make his way to where Akito was at, and when he made it there, he didn't even bother speaking with him and just laid the invite card on the table in front of them.
