32nd District, East Rukongai

The houses on both sides of the road were flat and tidy, with occasional undulations.

As one of the front districts of Rukongai, the civilians of had rosy faces, strong bodies, and although their clothes were slightly plain, they were also neat and orderly.

Compared to the later districts, the people here were already living a very happy life.

However, the faces of passersby were all filled with expressions of fear. They shrank their heads, hunched their bodies, walked quickly, and occasionally looked behind them and at the blind spots of their vision.

Any slight disturbance would frighten them, making them subconsciously quicken their pace.

A strange scene appeared in the civilian residential area of the 32nd District.

Two boys in blue and white Shino Academy uniforms walked on the street.

"The density of spiritual particles in the air is normal."

Aizen's eyes were calm, his hands hanging down, his indifferent voice seemed to be narrating something as normal as could be.

"The lingering smell of blood has not dissipated for a long time; the number of deaths should be between twelve and fourteen."

The slightly chaotic scene on the street did not affect his thinking, nor would it cause any form of misjudgment.

After arriving at the location provided by Kaede, Aizen immediately determined the current situation.

"The buildings are intact, there are no signs of intense fighting."

He looked expressionlessly at the tidy houses in front of him, observing the murder scene inside from the window: "From this point of analysis, the strength of the murderer…"

"What are you doing?!"

The calm Aizen instantly broke his composure when he noticed the behavior of the person beside him.

Akira, who was acting with him, had somehow changed into a set of priest's clothes.

The main color was white, with black decorations forming the symbol of Mimihagi, reflected on the collar and hem, looking both eerie and sacred.

The only flaw was that this set of priest's clothes was slightly loose, making movement a bit inconvenient.

Of course, what caused Aizen's emotional fluctuation was not Akira changing clothes at the murder scene.

It was that he had somehow brought a wooden table, set up incense candles and teacups.

"A ritual."

Akira glanced at Aizen, not understanding why such a smart person would ask such a stupid question.

Wasn't his behavior already obvious?

Aizen felt his forehead swell, his blood pressure rising. Of course, he knew this was a ritual.

Even if he hadn't understood it before, after spending so much time with this guy, how could he not know the process of the ritual?

What he didn't understand was, what was this guy up to now? Performing a ritual at the murder scene, could he really communicate with the dead and find the real murderer?

"The Sakahone is different from other shrines."

Akira said with a smile, "The most straightforward point is that the gods in other shrines, even those worshipped by the Ise family, are fictional."

"But Mimihagi-sama worsipped by the Sakahone Shrine truly exists."

"In our local words, those who offer everything except their 'eyes' to Him will be protected."

"Just like now."

Under Aizen's surprised gaze, Akira snapped his fingers lightly. The next moment. The surface of the water in the teacup began to tremble, ripples spreading out circle after circle, finally reflecting one face after another.

"They have appeared."

Akira smiled, "The unjustly dead of today."

Aizen frowned, becoming more and more puzzled.

In his impression, those who died in the Soul Society would be decomposed into basic spiritual particles by the Soul Society.

The textbooks of the Spiritual Arts Academy also mentioned that death was a cycle.

Those who died in the living world would be reborn in the Soul Society.

The same was true for the existence of the Soul Society. The cycle of spiritual particles would turn into vessels and be reborn in the living world.

But what was happening now? The dead decomposed into spiritual particles were being reborn?

Countless questions arose in his mind.

When Aizen tried to solve one with his knowledge, more questions would emerge. While he was struggling, Akira had already dipped his finger into the teacup.

His expression was slightly serious, occasionally making sounds like "hmm, I see, is that so, what a pity," as if he was really talking to the dead.

Aizen watched this scene in astonishment, gaining a new understanding of this troublesome friend.

When Akira pulled his finger out, he looked at Aizen seriously and said: "The murderer has been identified."

"With our strength, we should not be his match."

"Let's go back and report to Instructor Kaede, and let him report to the Gotei 13, and leave it to the Shinigami to handle."

A slight, almost imperceptible fluctuation appeared in Aizen's pupils, and he nodded lightly.

Just as the two were packing up the offering table and preparing to leave, the density of spiritual particles in the air suddenly changed.

A heavy pressure descended instantly, and a desperate aura erupted from the direction behind them.

"Going back?"

A hoarse, overlapping voice echoed on the empty street, and a figure slowly walked out of the house.

Dressed in a black Shihakushō, of medium build, with an ugly face crisscrossed with scars and a Zanpakutō slung across his waist, all these conditions already indicated the identity of the person.

A rogue Shinigami.

"Two brats who haven't even graduated from the Spiritual Arts Academy, since you've discovered my secret, you can go to hell."

The scar-faced man said viciously.

However, to his surprise, the two boys in front of him not only did not panic at all when they saw him, but one of them even had a playful smile on his face.

It was as if he was a hunter who had caught his prey! "I once heard a theory that the murderer who created a tragedy often returns to the scene to admire his work."

Akira smiled, "And you just helped me confirm this theory."

The scar-faced man's expression froze, and he immediately realized that he had been fooled by the boy in front of him.

What resurrection of the dead, what identity of the murderer, it was all a lie!

Just now, hiding in the house, he had clearly heard the conversation between the two, thinking it was some new investigation method, but it turned out to be a complete deception!

In an instant, the scar-faced man was furious and roared: "Hmph, then don't think about escaping, die here with these fools!"

Hearing this, Akira raised an eyebrow and said in surprise: "Escape? Why would we escape?"

As soon as these words came out, the scar-faced man's heart skipped a beat.

Boom! Violent spiritual pressure was wantonly released, the substantial light exploded on Akira's body, resonating with the spiritual particles in the air, turning into turbulent air currents.

The pressure was so strong that it was incomprehensible, causing the scar-faced man's pupils to contract, suffocating instantly, and his face to flush.

"Try this."

Akira suddenly had an idea, raising his right hand and making a shooting gesture: "Hadō #4: Byakurai."

It was as if countless birds were making piercing cries, the dazzling white light exploded at his fingertips, turning into a brilliant lightning that traveled across the empty street.

The next moment, the black figure in front was pierced through the heart, and the skipped heartbeat could never be recovered.

Aizen had little interest in the one-sided battle, the murderer was just an ordinary Shinigami.

He looked curiously at Akira, who was posing as a sharpshooter, and asked: "The information you got from the dead, were you deceiving the murderer or could you really do it?"

Hearing this, Akira glanced sideways, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, and replied with a half-smile: "Guess…"
