LUCIFER AS KENNEDY

Gabrielle walked down the stairs and saw Amelia arranging breakfast on the dining table. Lucifer and Kennedy were seated on the dining table too. Seems like she overslept.

"Good morning"she greeted as she took a seat beside Lucifer and Kennedy snorted.

"Morning, sleepyhead"Kennedy said and she glared at him as she turned to Amelia.

"You look energetic this morning compared to how I envisioned you to be. Judging by your screams last night, I was expecting you to be crippled but you are fine. He's probably weak on bed,right?"she asked throwing a mocking gaze at Kennedy who growled at her while Amelia blushed.

"Weak? I will love to show you how weak I am"Kennedy growled out and Gabrielle chuckled as she moved her face closer to his over the table.

"Then show me, weakling"she taunted and Kennedy clenched his fists.

If it were another woman and another time when he hadn't find his mate then he might bend her over this table and show her what she called "weak".

"Thank your stars,I have a mate"Kennedy said through gritted teeth and Gabrielle laughed as she sat back on her chair.

"Yes, that's the only way you have an excuse"she said and Amelia coughed.

"Sorry but I don't think this conversation between you two is proper. I don't want to lose my mate soon"Amelia said pointing to Lucifer whose eyes had turned red.

Gabrielle chuckled at the sight of him while Kennedy gulped down in fear.

"I dare you to think about it again"Lucifer growled at Kennedy as he reached for him over the table but Amelia was quick to block his path.

"Think what?"Kennedy stuttered and Lucifer glared at him.

"Don't try denying it. If you hadn't met your mate you would have bent her over the table"Lucifer said through gritted teeth and Kennedy gasped.

How did he hear what he was thinking?

Lucifer watched the surprise look on Kennedy and smirked. He had the ability to read minds but he never used it because he thought everyone deserves a little bit of privacy but just now he decided to read Kennedy's mind.

He knew that Kennedy fancied Gabrielle like a man should but that doesn't mean he wanted Gabrielle. You know, which man wouldn't fancy a curvy, beautiful and capable woman?

"Well, you should blame your mate for calling him a "weakling". That was how it all started"Amelia defended Kennedy although she was boiling within her. She was surely going to deal with him later.

She knew he liked Gabrielle just as a friend but men hormones might kick in sometimes.

"Consider yourself dead"she mind linked him and Kennedy turned pale as she stared at him.

"Am still healing"he replied through the mind link and she smiled slyly.

"You probably forgot about that when you were thinking of bending her over"she replied still mind linking and fear slipped into Kennedy.

Lucifer turned to Gabrielle who just sat down unfazed with the drama going on and he sneered at her.

"Can you stop behaving like you don't care?"he asked and all eyes turned to Gabrielle who smiled.

"Why should I care? He only thought about it and hasn't done it yet you are all over him. What if he does it? You know I am getting married to him soon"Gabrielle said and Kennedy tensed.

"Marriage??!"Kennedy and Amelia asked in unison.

"Let's talk after breakfast"Gabrielle suggested and they all sat down impatiently waiting for her explanation.

"So I have to marry you to save your throne?"Kennedy asked for the third time and Gabrielle sighed as she nodded affirmatively.

"All thanks to Mr transmogrification"she said as she glared at Lucifer who looked away.

They were seated in the sitting room and Gabrielle explained all that was happening in her clan without leaving anything out including the two weeks deadline.

"I am afraid I can't do that. Vampires are scary, what if my blood get sucked by one of your people?"Kennedy said as he shuddered at the thought of that and Gabrielle rolled her eyes.

"Demon's blood aren't delicious so trust me no one will come near you"she said and Lucifer scoffed.

"That didn't seem to be the case when you jumped on me and sucked my blood thereby marking me"he said mockingly and Gabrielle glared at him.

"Must he marry you?"Amelia spoke up for the first time since they started the conversation.

She wasn't really sure she could take seeing her mate match to the altar with another woman. Be it fake or real.

"No,he doesn't have to. I just need him to come with me so I can show them he's my fiance and thereafter he should state some reasons why we can't get married now and try postponing the deadline. Within that space, I will try eradicating the traitors in my clan"Gabrielle explained and Amelia sighed.

"Lucifer can just transform into him"Amelia suggested and Lucifer smiled.

"That's the plan initially but she wouldn't let me speak. As from now on, I will be Kennedy Alistair, the prince of the demons"said Lucifer and Gabrielle turned to him.

No matter how she tries not to involve him in her problems, he always found his way back into them.

"Fine, Lucifer will be Kennedy"Gabrielle said as she stood up and headed upstairs.

"We'll be leaving soon"she added before disappearing from their sight.

"Why do I feel like she doesn't want you to be "me"?"Kennedy asked and Lucifer sighed.

"She doesn't want me involved in her problems"Lucifer said and Amelia sighed.

"I don't blame her tho. Your emotions might get in the way and you might not allow her do the dangerous things she wants to do"Amelia reasoned and Lucifer hummed.

"That's why I want to be with her. I have to curb her anger and level of taking risks. I want to protect her"Lucifer said.

"Just mark her if you are that desperate to protect her"Kennedy suggested and Lucifer glared at him.

"That will only put her in more trouble"Amelia said and Kennedy looked at her curiously but she ignored him.

"I will go and talk to her. We might leave unannounced so goodbye"Lucifer said as he teleported and Amelia sighed sadly.

She had a feeling that there will be war soon.

Gabrielle pulled her hair as she paced back and forth in the room suddenly Lucifer appeared and she glared at him.

"You are doing this on purpose, aren't you?"she asked and Lucifer sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I promise not to interfere. I will only do what you ask me to do."he said and she shook her head in denial.

"It's not about you obeying me, Lucifer. I don't want you to get hurt because of me. You don't know how sly and wicked the elders are. They will stop at nothing until they achieve their goal"Gabrielle said and Lucifer sighed.

"Let me protect you this time, don't be so stubborn"Lucifer said and Gabrielle ran her hands through her hair.

"You don't understand. Am willing to die for the throne but if you are with me, you might die too"Gabrielle explained a growl escaped Lucifer's throat as he stared at her.

"You won't die, Gabby. Can you be less selfish this time? Think about me, I don't want to go on blaming myself after your death"Lucifer said and Gabrielle pulled her hair.

"Fine, do what you want. Just know that if you get hurt I will never forgive you"she said and Lucifer snorted

"Same goes for you"he retorted and she turned her back on him. He also did the same.

They both kept quiet as they were lost in their own worlds. They didn't want each other to get hurt and they couldn't let each other be.

An unknown man was seated on a throne as he stared at a woman bowed before him.

"Speak!"he thundered and the man shivered.

"I found her. She is married and with a child. She stays in the human world"the woman said and the man chuckled dangerously.

"She seem to live happily after leaving me heartbroken"he said as he stared into space.

"Watch her and the child. They might know his location"he commanded and the woman shivered out of his sight.

"Just a few more time and you will be mine again. Together with our son, we will rule my empire. An sorry for all I did and I have been atoning for my sins for the past millennium years"he muttered as regret flashed through his eyes.

He would get her back at all cost..
