104. Storm

A somber atmosphere envelops the cavern, the two wolf-shark leaders at the wolf's feet shift uncomfortably because of the somber atmosphere. In the minds of Crow and Wolf, they agree with Rabbit that the Bronze Mountain Cultivator must die or their plan will fall short before it is complete. 

Crow and Wolf nod understanding the serious situation. But Crow finds there is a serious problem in the Rabbit's plan," Rabbit, The 5th realm refining energy cultivator will not let us kill him when he finds he is not a match for us 5 he will escape."

Rabbit, " Did you think I did not think of this?" what did they think of her, She makes a plan after thinking of every circumstance. Turtle now would have completed the first step of her plan. 

"Where are you two?" The place the two are in charge of is Wutan City and the towns and villages surrounding it.

Crow Mask," We are in a cavern under the river between Wutan city and Eagle's head shape mountains." Rabbit asks them to know when they will arrive at Eagle's head-shaped mountains.

Rabbit," Then walk out of the cave and see the situation of the River." and the holographic screen disappears.

Crow picks up the red crystal ball and they start to walk, the two wolf-shark leaders only open their eyes and see them moving as they stand up to follow them. Wolf signals them to remain in place.

Wolf and Crow enter another Cavern filled with Wolf-shark and crossing the cavern into a narrow corridor they come in front of a small pool of water.

Wolf and Crow jump on the pool and small below for a few seconds and reach the floor above their head now two tunnels go up one leading to the cave they came from and the other to the river. They took the tunnel leading to the river and after a few seconds, they came out on the river bed and heard the sound of thunder and raindrops flying on the river. They swaw up to reach above the river.

Wolf," The weather was clear half an hour ago how is there a storm starting now?"

Crow," Rabbit must have used a spiritual weapon to call upon the storm." he took out the red crystal ball and called Rabbit and after a few seconds a holographic screen appeared with Rabbit.

Rabbit, notices the falling raindrop and the sound of wind and lighting," Turtle has to use the storm Rune."

" Now both of you know why the 5th realm cultivator cannot escape from the eagle's head shape mountains but we all have two days to kill the 5th realm cultivator because after two days the storm rune will stop working."

Wolf and Crow nod, and Crow replies" Got it, we will start right now journey toward the eagle's head shape mountain." 

Rabbit nods and the holographic screen vanishes.

Inside a large cavern, in a room, a holographic screen disappears from the red crystal ball in a hand. The hand belongs to a person with a similar dress to Crow and Wolf but wearing a Rabbit Mask.

Rabbit mask then walk out of the room. Outside the room many similar black robes but with white oval masks on their faces people walk around the cavern in a hurry. But seeing Rabbit they bow their head in respect.

Rabbit did not pay attention to the people bowing to her walk toward a large house. When She nears the house she notices the door of the house is closed with a black robe wearing the mask of a Rat.

Rabbit," Rat, Snake is still not out of the house."

Rat nods," No, Do you need him for something?"

Rabbit," I sent Crow and Wolf to join with Squirrel and Dog to kill the Bronze mountain cultivator. Turtle used the storm rune and with the bone, the flag may have met up with Squirrel and Dog."

Rat," Then all is going according to the plan."

Rabbit," I do not think in two days they can kill the Bronze mountain cultivator."

Rat, " We have done what we can? And now anything that happens higher up cannot blame us."

Rabbit, " You follow Snake to the task but I was sent by Lord Blood Rabbit." 

Rat, " Yeah, I always wanted to know why lord Blood Rabbit sent you."

" The Ruin we are going to explore is a branch station of the destroyed Dead Soul Sect we came because the ruin is sealing a Bronze Zombie. and we are here to unseal the zombie."

"Lord Blood Rabbit is an Earth pillar cultivator. A Bronze Zombie is no use for Lord Blood Rabbit."

Rabbit," Rat act like a Rat do not act like a Cat or in no time you will be a dead Cat."

Rat raises a hand in front to calm Rabbit down, " I only wanted to help Lord Blood Rabbit."

Before Rabbit can reply, the door behind Rat opens and another person with a Snake mask appears on the door away.

Rat hearing the sound of the door opening turns and speaks," Success." 

Rabbit feels Snake feels different, something has changed in him, and watches the interaction between the Rat and the Snake.

Snake," I succeeded."

Rabbit fails to stop her curiosity, " What secret are you both talking about?"

Rat," Rabbit you told me a moment ago not to be like a Cat. Why now you are acting like an act?"

Rabbit can retort. 

Snake spoke," Rat and Rabbit let's enter the ruin in an hour."

Rabbit," What?"

" The dead energy of the ruin is still not removed."

Snake," No need I will remove the dead energy." and started walking toward where the tunnel to the ruin, and the Rat followed behind leaving Rabbit behind.

Rabbit understood Snake entered 4th realm of refining energy and exercise the snake practice is from the destroyed dead soul sect and the exercise core ability is the manipulation of dead energy. So she starts walking faster to follow the Snake.

Rain standing on the bow of the ship under the downpour. Their Journey to the immortal market deviated now the ship because of the storm raging around is going to the harbor of Jian town.

Rain wonder after the wolf-shark retreated under a half hour the clear sky changed into a sky covered by dark thunder clouds.

Rain is amazed by the ship it is stable moving with the raging river around it. Rain looks at Gou Li surrounded by a light shield blocking the downpour," Gou Li, the ship is a magic weapon."

Gou Li nods," It's a rare mid-level first-rank spiritual weapon."

Rain nods and admires the ship. His mind races with thought after reaching the peak of Grandmaster would he turn to the smooth immortal path or remain with the warrior path where after Grandmaster there is no path? He himself has to pave the road.

Rain's intuition telling if he takes the warrior path and reaches the end he will gain more than the immortal path.

Xue Lin joined them," In a few moments we will reach Jian town."

Rain thinks, " Stop thinking about this now. After I reach the peak of Grandmaster then I can make a choice." and looks ahead can sees the lights ahead in the downpour.

And in a few minutes, they enter the harbor which is empty because who will roam outside in this storm?

Rain remains silent and lets Xue Lin handle the situation and after leaving some crew members to take care of the ship rest enter the town. There are no inns that take all of them. So, they have to stay in multiple Inns. And Rain purposely chooses a separate Inn to stay from Gou Li and Xue Lin.

After washing and having some food, Rain sat on a chair with blank Rune paper in front of him on the desk. Rain separates from Xue Lin and Gou Li because he cannot draw Runes in their presence. They will know that Rain can successfully draw Divine runes without Failure. This is not rare but for those who spent years drawing Rune not someone started drawing Runes for one week.

As Rain was in concentration drawing Runes under the light of the glowing stone he did not notice the time. And the storm outside muffled the sound of fighting outside.

Rain closing his eyes comprehends the rule displayed on the Nourishment divine rune. Rain chooses to fully comprehend the nourishment divine rune first then start with the other two. The Nourishment rune helps him more and he uses it himself than the Growth and Preservation rune.

Rain opens his eyes as the rune stops displaying its rule. Rain put the rune paper in his pocket and put another blank rune paper in front of him. As he dips the feather pen in the ink, Rain hears the sound of a crash on his roof and he turns around to see his roof breaks and someone falls on his bed.

Rain the look who crashed on his bed is wearing a black robe completely covering his body and a turtle mask on his face. Before Rain can say anything the Turtle mask stood up from the bed and glanced at him without saying anything to him.

The Turtle mask jumps out of his room through the hole he created and disappears. Rain's bed is wet by the rain pouring in through the roof. The sound of the roof alerted everyone of the Inn and there was a knock on the room's door.

Rain's mind fills with anger walks open his room door and sees some of the crew. Before they could ask anything Rain spoke," Take my luggage to another room." without waiting for a reply Rain jumped out of the hole in the roof and stood on the roof.
