108. Conspiracy of Earth Devil Palace

Rain sees Xue Lin look at him worriedly, hearing about the corpse transformation exercise. Because Rain bought the Corpse Transformation Exercise from the auction held by Xue Lin. 

Mu Jiru continued, " And one of them who practiced the exercise is my little brother." signaling to a man similar age to Rain lying on the bed tied up. " One week ago, I returned to visit my family and after returning I was ecstatic I found my little brother reached the half-step grandmaster realm and I was confident with my help he would break through Grandmaster. And to help him, I ask how he reached the half-step Grandmaster realm as our family does not have an exercise to practice to grandmaster."

" My little brother then mentions he found the exercise in a ruin. Three months ago a ruin was found, so all the master warriors nearby the town entered the ruin and after exploring the ruin in the last room of the room they found a stone tablet with the corpse transformation exercise written. So as not to fight each other and destroy the tablet in the process all of them wrote the exercise method and left the stone tablet there."

" Hearing the name of the exercise and reading the exercise. I was ecstatic because I had the corpse transformation spell. And I guess the corpse transformation exercise is created from the corpse transformation so I researched and compared the two and then I found a backdoor in the corpse transformation exercise. And then to further investigate I went to the ruin and found the ruin is not a 100 years old ruin but it was created by someone three months ago."

"I found some Clue in the Ruin which led me to the hiding palace of the culprit and found the dog and squirrel mask. After the attack fled but I was able to identify them as people from Earth Demon Palace. After that, I gather all the master warriors nearby the town who practice the exercise and subdued them and seal them here."

"And I am researching to find a solution."

Xue Lin turned to Rain with a look of concern," Rain."

Rain understood what Xue Lin wanted to ask" You have to guess my true energy attribute directly conflicts with the exercise."

Gao Li and Mu Jiru look confused about their interaction, Old Gu spoke to solve their confusion, "I and Miss are part of Golden Treasure House and two days ago we held an auction and the final item of the auction was an exercise named Corpse transformation exercise. I do not if it is the same exercise. And Rain bought the exercise."

Rain listens and finds the Old Gu after breaking through Grandmaster stops calling him Grandmaster. Rain did not take it in heart as they were now in a similar realm but Rain was certainly stronger than him.

Gao Li," What?" and look at Rain with concern.

Xue Lin spoke in guilt," We should have further verified the exercise for putting it into auction."

Mu Jiru also spoke," Without sufficient knowledge of the corpse transformation spell. One will not be able to find the backdoor in the exercise." 

And turning to Rain, Mu Jiru continued," Can I see the exercise you have to check if it is the same."

Rain hearing this, replies," I did not bring the exercise but I remember the exercise if I see the exercise you have I can tell if it is the same."

Mu Jiru nods hearing Rain and the book appear in his hand," Here." handing the book to Rain.

Everyone remains silent as Rain starts reading the book.

After finishing reading the Book, Rain looks up and confirms everyone's suspicion," It is similar."

Old Gu hearing," What is the evil demon palace planning? Why did then need Corpse transformed grandmaster."

Rain sees Xue Lin and Gou Li nods and agrees but he does not pay attention to their further conversation.

He was in deep thought as the chip simulated the exercise to find the backdrop. However, after multiple simulations, he is not able to identify the backdoor. He hears Mu Jiru speaking to him," Rain, I want to ask you something?"

Rain let the chip simulate the Corpse transformation exercise and spoke," Yes, Senior Mu." Rain curious.

Mu Jiru," I heard you are unable to practice the exercise." 

Rain hearing this carefully explains," I will not say unable but if I do not control my true energy the transformation will revert."

Mu Jiru was silent for a few seconds then spoke with hope in his voice," Then your true energy attribute would be Life energy or other energy similar to Life energy."

Rain wants to know where Mu Jiru is leading the conversation, nods, and speaks" Yeah." before he can clarify his true energy attribute.

Mu Jiru staring at Rain's eye spoke," Then can you please with your true energy see if you can reverse their transformation."

Rain thinks and nods," Ok, I will try." and walks to one of the beds near him. 

Rain looks at the warrior sleeping in the bed, puts his hand on the chest of the warrior, and channels his true energy toward the warrior's body. He did not flood the body of the warrior with his true energy but entered his true energy in a fully transformed cell first. 

To check how the body of the warrior will react with his true energy. Slowly, he enters his true energy but he cannot find a revert back to the transform cell. And his probing of the cell of the warrior with his true energy, the energy present in the cell starts to tremble then break and the connection with his true energy is cut off. And Rain finds the cell died. Rain then checked how much the body is transformed, and found that 60 % of the body is transformed. Now entering his true energy in the body will ultimately lead to dead of the warrior.

The rain lifted his hand from the chest of the warrior and looked at Mu Jiru, who was looking at him expectantly. 

Mu Jiru," Did You?"

Rain did not answer and checked the other six warriors found the situation similar to the first warrior. If he puts his true energy inside their body, a large number of transform cells which is more than 60 % will die. With 60% of cells dying in a moment, they also die.

He also thought of diving the process, like a part of the cell, and taking healing medicine or another method to heal back but some of the organs of the body are fully transformed. So, with his limited knowledge, he feels that with his true energy, he cannot revert their transformation.

Rain then explains his findings to them.

Xue Lin," The dividing process can work but finding the right healing medicine or treasure is the problem."

Mu Jiru," I can get the healing medicine from my sect but then only my brother can revert. I have to return to my sect and or send a letter to my master but this takes weeks. And the situation may change then."

Rain hearing weeks, thought it would not work," Senior Mu, you seal them to stop the transformation process. right?"

Mu Jiru nods, "Yeah." and looks at Rain with a question of why he is asking this. And thought did the seal not work," Is there any problem."

Rain," The transformation of their body to corpse did not stop. It is slow but still going on and the more the body is transformed the harder it will harder to revert."

Mu Jiru hearing Rain went to a warrior sleeping in the bed and put his hand on the chest to check after a few seconds he raised his hand with sadness. As he confirms Rain's finding.

Rain did not want to pile his sadness but he had to mention this," Senior Mu, other body parts transform, we can heal them but if the brain starts transforming then the difficulty to revert the transformation will be harder or impossible."

Hearing this, Mu Jiru's face became more upset, and walk toward his brother sleeping in the bed and kept staring at his brother's face.

Rain finds the town lord, Xue Lin, and others give him a bad look. Rain thought what he did and only told the truth. But they can soothe Mu Jiru as they are not familiar with him.

Rain checked his soul chip and found it still did not find the backdoor in the exercise. So curious to know the answer ask," Senior Mu, How did you notice the backdoor in the exercise?"

Mu Jiru raised his head in annoyance why Rain asking this now but still, he answered," In the exercise, the movement of true energy is completely similar to the formation one adds to a dead body to transform into a corpse puppet in a corpse transformation spell."

Rain nodded and understood this then spoke," Then if we change the exercise and remove the backdoor in the exercise then the solution is solved."

Mu Jiru again looks at Rain with newfound hope," You can."

Before Mu Jiru can show his research result to Rain, he hears a yawn from the Town Lord. He remembers it is still night and some hours ago they fought a battle. They needed rest before they could further discuss how to help his brother and the other warriors. He took out his research paper and corpse transformation spell book in his hand from his space bag, and handed them to Rain," It's late after the fight you all need rest but Rain can you take this and watch this after you rest and find a solution."

Rain nodded After he and his group left the underground with the town lord while Mu Jiru remained to strengthen the sealing to stop or slow down again the transformation.

While outside the town lord's house under the storm, Xue Lin, Gou Li, and Old Gu will go left and right. Rain then spoke," I will visit you after some rest."

Xue Lin," Why? there is anything you need." she is confused as she thought Rain would be busy after having a rest to remove the backdoor in the corpse transformation exercise.
