Chapter 78

Two teams consisting of Don's and Anton's men set off quickly to deal with the unwanted guests.

The twins divided their tasks. J instructed both teams where the intruders were and K kept an eye on Vasili's men.

The whole event could have been provoked by him, trying to effectively eliminate Anton's men and weaken his power.

Vasili was officially convinced that after Don's death, Anton had taken over the rest of his gang and property.

Convinced that this had to be the only way out, he began sending people and trying to take over his clubs.

He tried to weaken him as much as possible and force him to return to Gregorej. Then he would be able to take care of the local business and more without any major obstacles.

His power and money would grow to such an extent that even his cousin would not be able to defeat him and then all the wealth the Ruslanovs had collected over the years would finally be his.

With a nasty smile on his face, he spun around in his swivel chair, waiting for good news, which even after a long wait, never came.

It is not known where his self-confidence and conviction that Anton would not follow him in the same way as he did came from.

Maybe it was because of this self-confidence that he almost died at Anton's hands a few years ago?

In any case, Vasili, unable to wait for information, made a few phone calls. After a moment of conversation, his smile slowly disappeared from his face.

There was no trace of the gangsters he had sent. No one knew what had happened to them and his only hacker had not been able to access the monitoring due to the too strong security.

Vasili, losing patience, sent two men to check what had happened. Half an hour later, he received a report that after his men had caused a brawl in one of the clubs, they had been taken to the back by another group of men and had disappeared.

None of the witnesses to the situation were able to determine what had actually happened to them.

Upon hearing this news, Vasili threw his phone against the wall in rage.

"You bloody brat! Just wait! After I eliminate your men one by one, I'll deal with you personally!" He growled in anger.

He called one of his men and told him to check if one of the foreign gangs had responded to his offer.

As long as he had funds and people willing to get their hands dirty, he would not stop attacking young Ruslanov.

Eventually, the young man would stumble and he would be waiting around the corner to strike.

He didn't know, however, that Anton, working with Don and the three hackers, knew his every move and had no intention of giving up without a fight.

What was worse for him, they already had a ready plan, which they intended to implement as soon as the right moment arose.

Unaware of the troubles of their loved ones, Sophie and Darell started another day at the company.

Rested and full of energy after a pleasantly spent morning, they were ready for new challenges.

Without delay, they agreed among themselves what had to be done and checked all the necessary information.

Anton arrived with Noah and waited silently for Darell to go to the designated meetings.

Sophie's brother was still angry with the man for not taking care of her health for the good of the company.

Without paying much attention to him, they went to meet the new contractors. Fortunately, once there, Anton did not intend to treat Darell coldly and both greeted the newly arrived group of men with professional smiles.

After signing the new contracts, everyone visibly relaxed and ordered a meal for everyone. In total, the entire meeting took them about three hours.

"It won't happen again" Darell broke the silence in the car as they drove back to the office.

"For your own good it better not happen again" Anton mumbled as his hands tightened on the steering wheel.

The awkward silence fell again, but not for long. Anton couldn't take it anymore and had to say something.

After all, there was no Sophie or Noah around to stop him. Besides, why would he listen to them?

"I didn't know you were that weak. If I had known from the beginning, I would have taken Sophie with me to my father even if she was going to be mad at me for the rest of her life. Because who in their right mind would bring their woman to such a state?!" He visibly raised his voice.

"How can you wear someone out like that with work? Do you know that I can sue you for employee abuse? I saw how Noah looked lately. He barely slept and barely ate. Leave you for a moment and you immediately physically finished off my two beloved ones!" Anton started complaining.

Darell sat to the side with a clenched jaw and a grim expression on his face.

"I didn't force them to do anything. They did it of their own free will because they are part of this company and they didn't want to watch it get destroyed by your family! If you hadn't shown up here, Vasili wouldn't have attacked us and Don wouldn't have had to fight for his life!" Darell, unable to hold back any longer, said what was on his mind.

Anton, hearing these words, stepped hard on the brakes, stopping the car. Luckily, nothing was following them too close, so it ended with a few disgruntled car horns.

Sophie's brother slowly turned his head towards an equally furious Darell.

"Get the fuck out of my car before I do something you'll regret," He threatened.

Darell, not taking his eyes off Anton, quickly unbuckled his seat belt. He didn't even have time to get out of the car properly when the man sped off.

Darell gave him the middle finger angrily and suddenly Anton hit the brakes again.

When Darell saw that the man had put the car in reverse, he quickly jumped over the barrier separating the sidewalk from the road.

After a moment, the car moved forward again and drove away.

"Madman"

Slightly frightened, Darell nervously combed his hair, checking where he was now.

Fortunately, he wasn't far from the company, so he decided not to call a taxi but to walk, spending some time in the fresh air.
