"We're all gonna die tonight."
That was what Arya said when she bolted upright on the sofa, eyes looking broken and insane.
"Wolves made of shadows, trolls, globlins, all sorts of monsters…the war is starting."
Arya clutched her head in agony.
"Arya, my princess, calm down, It's me, Myna."
Arya whimpered and took a deep breath.
"I saw something…a vision or dream…I don't know but I think you should all hear about it."
…
Elijah's swords sliced a zombie into little undead pieces. He lopped off the heads of two zombies with a single slash of his sword.
A blast of fire from his hand took care of the rest of them.
Catalina and Jasper were busy taking care of the rest of the zombies.
Poison didn't work well on creatures that were already dead so Catalina mainly used her close combat skills to dispatch zombies.
A punch sent a zombie crashing into a wall. A back kick sent a zombie flying through the air until it landed smack in the middle of a hoard of zombies and took out at least half of them in one go.
Catalina judo-slammed a zombie trying to sneak up from behind her, she slammed that disgusting thing so hard that the stone pavement shattered and broke.
Jasper trapped zombies inside of force shields, preventing them from attacking anymore civilians until Catalina, Elijah or another royal guard could take care of them.
Jasper wished he didn't have to reunite with his younger siblings in the middle of a supernatural freak-show smackdown. He dreamed of being able to meet them in some peaceful little cafe or surprise them in their own home.
"Jasper, undo the force shield, I'm going to burn these things to ashes now."
Elijah's hands were on fire and his red eyes seemed to be glowing like fire itself.
Jasper complied, releasing the half a dozen zombies from their golden prison. They charged at Jasper but Elijah's fireball took them.
All around them, battle was taking place.
A boulder suddenly erupted from the ground and sent some zombies flying into the air.
A blast of cold air suddenly turned a hoard of zombies into icicles.
Thin threads of light cut through the zombies like lasers.
The civilians had already been rushed to safety and this entire town was empty except for a dozen Royal Guards plus Jasper.
"Jasper, you can come home now. Father's dead and Elijah is the new master of the household."
Jasper was happy his father was dead now.
He had been exiled from his home for 7 years now.
"Yes, yes I can."
But would there still be a home left after this nightmare ends?
….
Arya described what she saw and heard in her vision and the concern grew and grew.
"It's obviously a plot to overthrow the kingdom into disarray and panic."
Freya knew that they were in immediate danger of assassination if what Arya saw was correct.
"Arya-"
Ezekiel was about to ask Arya more about what she saw but Arya looked tired and worn out.
"No, no more fighting. Tell them to stop fighting."
As if to make her point clear-and as if on cue-a man went crashing through Theon's bedroom window and went tumbling onto the floor, broken glass scattered everywhere and then an arrow went flying through the same window and got itself stuck in the bedroom door.
Ezekiel looked like he wanted to curl up in embarrassment as did all the other royals.
Ezekiel marched over to the window, stuck his head out of it and screamed at the top of his lungs.
"STOP FIGHTING ALL OF YOU!! THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE FIGHTING EACH OTHER!!"
Ezekiel calmed down and went over and hugged Arya.
"Sorry about that but I'm sorry if the fighting made you upset."
"It does, Ezzy."
Arya's green eyes looked lifeless as she thought of the monsters she saw.
"NO FIGHTING!!"
Arya's outburst caused many of them to cringe.
"You can't fight each other-you're family. And besides, there's more to life than just the throne or fighting for more power.Well, it's your family who you share happy moments with. It's enjoying the little things in life such as feeling the sun on your face, hearing the birds singing, feeling the grass under your bare feet, to feel the wind brushing up against you. To be able to enjoy a delicious meal and to laugh and be among family and friends. The beauty of the world around you. You only got one life to live so you might as well enjoy everything it has to offer."
What was her motivation in life? Well, she really didn't any but to enjoy it to the fullest.
Her words hung in the air like smoke.
Arya fainted once again after this.
She found herself in a deserted village. A ruined and haunted little village that looked like it was abandoned for months now. Broken houses, broken windows, smashed in houses, and the dark colored stains on the walls and ground. Worst of all were all the broken and decaying bodies of the former residents.
Arya stumbled over the body of a young girl and she felt like throwing up.
Her throat had been ripped out and it looked like something had eaten her alive as chunks of her flesh were missing and large and nasty bite marks covered her entire body. One of her arms was missing and it looked like someone or something had ripped it off of her body. The entire front of her blue dress was stained with blood and it looked very hard and dried.
Her skin was grayish and cold to the touch. Her bright red hair was festooned with dirt and leaves, one of her pretty periwinkle blue eyes was missing, and her body was already starting to rot.
More bodies-men, women and children-all dead and decaying with the birds and wild animals showing that they have eaten them.
Arya saw glimpses of soldiers dying and fighting, people screaming and dying in fear in the background and corner of her eyes.
Where was she?
Wait, who was this man?
A rather handsome-looking man with a scar across his face and dressed in battered and bloody armor and wedding a sword kneeled before her. His long raven black hair was wild and untamed and his matching black eyes had tears in them as he looked up at her. He had a nasty gash across his chest that didn't look deep or life-threatening but it was a nasty and ugly dark purple and green color.
"Your highness, please, is this the only way we can win this war? Paying for victory with your life?"
"Yes, my love, it is. I know what I have to do. Victory can be won but it will cost me all I have left: my life. But I'm not scared, my dearest lover. For the sake of the future generations, I'll give up my life."
The black haired man grabbed her hand and kissed it before pressing it up against his chest.
"My beautiful and strong princess, I wish it didn't have to be this way. If only happily ever after did exist. I don't have much time left myself..the poison is eating away at me, dissolving my organs and I'm getting weaker-COUGH, COUGH!!!"
The man kneeled over and started coughing up puddles of blood.
Arya's body moved and she felt like her body was not her own but rather that she was watching this scene through someone else's eyes.
The man wiped the blood off with the back of his hands and he suddenly grabbed Arya and kissed her on the lips.
The kiss was soft and gentle and full of love. His eyes were filled with shining love and loyalty to heer, his princess and master.
"Let's meet again in our next lives, my princess."
His eyes turned glassy and unblinking as he died in front of her.
What the-, Arya thought, whose memories are these?
A scream of agony and grief erupted from Arya's mouth and she stomped the ground. The ground cracked open underneath her feet and gave away to a gloomy and dark cave-like setting. Arya floated above the extra dimension, she could feel all her energy and life being used to open up this extra dimension.
"BE GONE, MONSTERS!!!"
Those words erupted from Arya's mouth and then darkness.
