Chapter 53

Arya looked up to see a small group of people, both men and women, who were…no, they were human. And humans that looked like they were ready to kill and rob her right now.

Of course, Arya thought, that's to be expected. Law and order practically broke down after the monster invasion/apocalypse and society broke down as well. With little food or water going around, peoples' priorities turned to survival.

A scream could be heard in the distance and Lucifer's face dropped and he looked scared and in shock.

It sounded like it belonged to a young girl and it was a scream of pain and fear.

"Sister….THOSE BASTARDS!!! I'LL KILL THEM!!"

The screaming got louder and louder as the pitch got higher and she sounded like she was in a lot of pain.

At that same moment, a dark haired man opened fire-literally-on Arya by sending a ball of red-hot flames towards Arya. A ball of fire erupted at Arya's feet and Arya got deja vu to the first time she spared and fought with Elijah. Arya dodged the second fireball and she continued to dodge all the fireballs that that man threw at her. Tall and huge blasts of fire erupted all around her, but she dodged and nimbly avoided getting burned by them.

She turned to Lucifer.

"Go. Go save your sister. I'll handle them."

Lucifer turned to her.

"They're your own people. But they fight you. During great disasters and times of crisis, people's true natures are often revealed."

Lucifer then raced off to the direction of the screams and Arya didn't have time to process what he just said when everyone else started to gang up on her.

Arya used her telekinesis to lift the man up into the air before throwing him to the ground, making sure to slam his head hard enough against the ground to knock him out but not hard enough to kill him.

"Sleep well, man, I'm sorry I had to do this to you."

Glints of metal knives were thrown at her but Arya deflected all of them with her sword, sending the knives flying away from her and scattering all over the ground.

A light-haired woman sent a blast of ice towards her but Arya managed to dodge it and then she got hit by a girl throwing a punch at her. The punch slugged her across the face and left her feeling dazed and unbalanced for a moment but Arya regained focus, shrugging off the punch as Arya experienced worse under Catalina's strict training.

Arya wasted no time.

Arya balled up her right hand into a fist and she threw her punch at that pink-haired girl.

She caught her in a right hook that smashed into her face with so much power that she was sent stumbling backwards a few feet. She looked dazed and confused for a few seconds.

The girl shook off the punch much to Arya's dismay. She hoped that she was able to knock her out with one blow.

But that was just wishful thinking on Arya's part as that girl was strong looking with meaty arms and muscles.

Arya saw three people charging at her and she knew she didn't have time to waste with this buff girl.

She yanked the girl off her feet with her mind and she threw her at the incoming people like she would throw a knife. 

The girl crashed into two of the people and knocked them off their feet onto the ground. 

Hopefully that brought Arya some time and cut down the numbers.

The blonde-haired girl balled up fists and charged at such a great speed that Arya didn't see it coming.

She was barely able to dodge that fist that came flying towards her head. She continued to rain down punches at Arya.

She weaved and nimbly avoided the punches that were coming at her in all directions and were getting faster and faster. 

Her swords….if only she could get her swords but this girl wasn't giving her only chance to get them.

The girl was strong but she wasn't very well-trained-relying mainly on bruteforce- and she was getting sloppy and unfocused now-too many gaps and openings in her position and attacks now.

Wait for it….Arya continued to weave and dodge the attacks.

Now!!!

Arya unleashed a flurry of punches that the girl was unable to dodge or block. Blow after blow continued to rain down on her and Arya was doing some serious damage. She then launched a back kick that caught the girl in the guts that knocked the wind out of her. Arya didn't stop and she then unleashed her fury on it in the form of left hooks, right hooks and jabs. She made sure to control her strength so she wouldn't kill her.

The girl was wavering and getting weaker now. Arya finished her off by bringing her leg onto her head. The girl collapsed onto the dirt limp and still.

Four boys charged at her from all directions. Three of them were armed with spears and one of them had a sword.

Arya summoned all her power and a blast of pure telekinetic power erupted from her body.

All four boys were caught up in the blast of pure power and they were sent flying, blasted through the air, pushed away from her. Trees were destroyed in the blast, reduced to wood splinters. The ground shattered and the topsoil of the dirt was ripped away by the blast.

Some swords came at her and she dodged and ducked the swords, moving backwards away from the slashing blades. 

She stretched out a hand and used her telekinesis to summon her swords into her hands.

It was like a repeat of her spar with Jarek at the Royal Academy.

Swords clashed and clanged. Arya fought with all her skill and strength put behind each blow and attack. She summoned her aura and several aura blades went flying through the air, six swords made from aura and she commanded them to attack Jarek.

The swords flew at the blue haired boy but he, with a single swing of his sword, deflected all of them.

Okay, he seemed stronger and better trained than the rest were, Arya thought. He's the real threat. The rest were just small fries.

Jarek then swung his sword and sent an arc of blue aura at Arya. Arya dodged the arc and the aura blade sliced several trees in half instead.

Arya charged at him with her swords coated in aura. She swung both her swords and the double aura arcs were sent towards Jarek.

A tall stone column erupted from the ground and shielded Jarek from the aura blades.

Her aura blades sliced the stone column into several smaller pieces but took much of the blow for that guy.

Arya then felt a sharp and sudden pain and she saw him in front of her.

Wait, when did he appear in front of her?

Was he always this fast?

Arya then felt all the pain hitting her like a bolt of lightning.

She screamed and dropped onto her knees.

She looked at where her right arm used to be.

It was now gone.
