Chapter 74

Arya felt the bitterly cold winds whipping her skin even through her thick winter clothes.

She wrapped the green wool cloak tighter over her body.

"I hope the people in the barn won't freeze to death. It must be very bad for them. Eli, Catty, do you think any of them have recovered by now?"

Elijah pondered that question for a moment before answering while Catalina had no answer.

"Yes, I think whatever mind control is being used on them should be gone by now. The demon girl said it wasn't permanent."

The doors to the barn were swung open with a blast of telekinesis.

It wasn't very cold there at all but warm and toasty inside. Of course, the farmers didn't want their animals to freeze to death.

Catalina whistled.

"I had no idea you could use your powers like that, little princess."

Arya shrugged.

"I've been experimenting with them."

Elijah nodded.

"It's good to push your abilities to the limit to see what it is that you're truly capable of."

"HEY!!"

That snapped all three of them to the direction of a tied up Kanan.

"Oh, I'll untie him, my princess."

Elijah rushed over to free Kanan.

A girl was starting to wake up now so Catalina rushed over to untie her.

The sound of people waking up filled the barn.

Looks like they are all finally returning to normal now.

…..

"Hello, Kanan and Jarek. I see you two are fine now. That's good and I apologize for tying you guys up."

"Yeah, glad to see that you're fine too, princess."

"It was nothing. You did what you had to do."

"Thanks, Jarek and Kanan, But I still feel bad for doing it. Can you guys explain to me what happened?"

Both boys shrugged and looked confused.

"I don't know what happened. But one minute I was fighting and the next I woke up in a barn hg-tied."

"Yeah, that's all I can remember too."

…..

"A storm is coming, Lucy, I can feel it."

Lucifer and Lucinda sat under the clearing as they watched Lupus, the werewolf dad, playing tag with the kids.

"Yes, this story has to end sooner or later."

"How do you think this story will end?"

Lucifer looked up at the sky. Ashy gray and cold without a bit of sunlight.

"Don't know. Happy, sad or tragic. It'll all depend on us, the characters in this story."

The two of them looked up at the sky to see that it was snowing harder now.
