The monsters woke up from the trance and they realized that they were finally freed from the influence of that witch.
They stopped fighting much to the confusion of the humans.
What happened?
Arya had unlocked the memories of her past life and she unleashed her true power as a heroine.
The woman's power of mind control and resurrection powers were powerful but Arya unlocked a power she had in her past life.
She could take away powers. Strip a person of their powers and reduce them to nothing.
Princess Persephone was feared and hated in her own family for that reason.

From the memories of her past life, Persephone/Arya was only taken in and adopted into the royal family after her mother died when she was 7 years old so she could be used as a living weapon.
A living weapon used to control ambitious and arrogant nobles and wielded by the king himself to control his own children.
Persephone/Arya only used their ability when the king ordered her to do so as a punishment for those who offended or failed him.
She could still see the faces of despair and horror after the people realized she took away their powers.
Disgust. Fear. Horror.
That was how they saw her.
Arya unlocked this new power and she used it to drain the king's power.
Well, not exactly the king's power, but Liliana's power.

The name of the demon woman who was controlling and possessing the king-her younger brother.
She was dead for 10 years but she came back as a powerful ghost.
Back to fulfill her wildest dreams and ambitions.
After Liliana knocked out the king with that punch, she took the chance to take away her powers.
Arya realized that Liliana wasn't exactly physically strong after their little fight. She mainly relied on her abilities-which were being taxed and strained from having to control a large army and keep on resurrecting the dead soldiers.
She sucked at close combat.
Arya grabbed the king by the throat and she focused her power.
She easily drained all the power from her. Her hand glowed green as she did so.
Liliana screamed as she was drained of all her power and severely weakened.
Maintaining control over a large army and ensuring that they would resurrect after they died weakened her despite her not showing it.
Losing her powers as the last straw.
A pillar of black smoke came out of the king's mouth and solidified into the form of a woman.
"STUPID GIRL!!!"
Liliana lunged for Arya, claws ready to scratch her and rip her to pieces.
Arya was ready for that.
The demon woman's fist connected with the ground and Arya felt the power behind the punch as a small crater opened up in the ground.
She took the punch head on. It wasn't as powerful as before.
She fell onto the ground on her back.
Liliana got on top of her and she started bragging.
"Got you, little girl. You're just a human after all."
Liliana looked smug and Arya intended to wipe that smug off her face.
As Liliana gloated and took her time, Arya summoned one of her broken swords.
A broken sword was better than nothing and Arya had a little trick up her sleeve.
She coated the broken sword with aura and a new sword blade created from aura was made.
Liliana realized too late and the sword stabbed straight through her heart.
She screamed and fell off of Arya.
Arya kicked her off.
Arya didn't expect that the demon woman could actually feel pain but Arya figured that if she could punch open a hole in the ground, maybe she could be physically harmed.
It was her fault for letting her guard down.
As Catalina said it best, the fight isn't over until your opponent is either dead or no longer able to fight.
Liliana ripped the sword out of her chest but it was a waste of energy.
She died and her body disappeared into black smoke.
