After some intervention from the Hokage, the tense atmosphere gradually calm.
The main family hesitated to act against the branch members still bound by the Caged Bird, fearing it would spark a full-blown civil war.
Meanwhile, the freed branch house ninja didn't want to push the situation to the brink.
In the end, both sides backed down, but the conflict remained unresolved—only temporarily suppressed.
Just a day after the standoff ended, Konoha Hospital introduced a new initiative: the Ninja Medical Examination Program.
Led by Tsunade, one of the legendary Sannin, the program offered free medical checkups for ninjas in need.
Participants even had the chance to meet Katsuyu, the sage known as a "medical angel" on the battlefield.
Over the years, Katsuyu had saved countless lives, earning widespread recognition and trust among ninjas.
Of course, many still associated Katsuyu more closely with the Fourth Hokage.
After all, only Simu possessed the overwhelming chakra needed to summon Katsuyu Sage every time.
This was one of the key reasons why he had gained the support of so many civilian ninjas in just a few years.
As a result, from the very first day of the medical examination program, Konoha Hospital was packed. Queues stretched in every direction.
Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, Simu firmly pressed Minato into the Hokage's chair.
"Minato, I'm leaving these documents to you. I'm heading to the hospital to oversee the situation today."
Seeing the mountain of paperwork, Simu felt his scalp go numb. With Shikaku gone for a long time, he had no choice but to leave Minato to handle it.
Minato looked confused.
"Why are you going to the hospital? Do you even know medical ninjutsu?"
Simu grinned.
"You don't get it. Lasers are great for treating cataracts."
Minato's confusion only deepened.
Cataracts? What the hell is that?
"In short, this place is yours to handle"
As soon as Simu finished speaking, he vanished instantly.
Even the Anbu assigned to protect him couldn't keep up. They had no choice but to rush toward Konoha Hospital, following his last words.
Minato stared at the empty space where Simu had stood, then shifted his gaze to the mountain of documents in front of him.
He let out a deep sigh, rubbing his temples.
Being entrusted with so much by the Fourth Hokage should have been an honor.
But for some reason, Minato couldn't shake the feeling that he had become nothing more than a glorified assistant.
"Am I the Hokage, or are you?!" he muttered helplessly.
Meanwhile, Simu ignored Minato's frustration.
In a flash, he appeared at Konoha Hospital.
Of course, he hadn't launched the medical examination program without reason—his real goal was to gather information on the Hyuga Clan.
As the checkups proceeded, the ninjas were sorted into different groups.
Under Simu's arrangement, Hyuga branch members were diagnosed with "eye issues" and discreetly sent to a treatment room in the back.
There, they were met by a doctor dressed in a white coat.
"Lie down, it'll be over soon."
The Hyuga branch member seemed to realize what was about to happen.
Some lay down excitedly, though their uneven breathing betrayed their nervousness.
One particular patient struggled to stay calm, but Simu could still sense his tension. With a sigh, he knocked him unconscious with a swift chop to the neck.
Placing a hand over the man's forehead, Simu activated Observation Haki, carefully examining the Caged Bird Seal.
Then—
A short, rapid flash lit up the room.
In an instant, the cursed seal on the Hyuga's forehead was reduced to nothing but a faint brown scar.
At that moment, a small, blue-striped Katsuyu leaped off Simu's shoulder.
Its soft, squishy body emitted a gentle green glow.
The scar on the patient's forehead quickly faded away, leaving his skin as smooth as before.
"Done," Simu muttered, adjusting his gloves.
A nurse entered, pushing the unconscious patient out.
Then came the next one…
Today, Simu's Light-Light Fruit had fully awakened.
The entire process was seamless, taking less than a minute per person.
After all, it was simple: walk in, lie down, get knocked out, and—just like that—the impossible was done.
What countless medical ninjas had struggled with for years seemed almost effortless for Simu.
"You really are a freak," Tsunade muttered, staring at him in amazement.
He wasn't even a medical ninja, yet his strange abilities and terrifying insight allowed him to accomplish what others deemed impossible.
Though she still felt uneasy because of Orochimaru's past actions, Tsunade had slowly started to accept this new Hokage.
After all, Orochimaru had betrayed the village and killed his comrades there was no justifying that.
Crossing her arms, Tsunade leaned back slightly, her expression skeptical.
"But I have to ask, why are you doing this?" she questioned.
"Because of Lindy?"
From Tsunade's perspective, there was no real reason for the Hokage to get involved in the Hyuga Clan's internal affairs.
No matter how much the branch house suffered, as long as Simu remained in power, the Hyuga Clan would stay loyal to him.
Even a little support from Hokage would be enough to keep them in check.
On the other hand, freeing the branch house from the Caged Bird Seal came with risks, Konoha's prized Byakugan could now fall into enemy hands.
For a Hokage, this was completely unnecessary.
The only explanation Tsunade could think of was Hyuga Lindy.
Why else would a newly appointed Hokage risk stirring up internal conflict within days of taking office?
Simu touched his chin, looking puzzled.
"Do I really seem like that much of a womanizer to you?"
Tsunade rolled her eyes and snorted.
"Should I start counting how many girlfriends you've dated at the same time?"
Simu smirked but said nothing.
On this topic, he really had no defense.
After all, monogamy was the norm in the ninja world.
Even among the past Hokage, or the leaders of the other ninja villages, this situation was unheard of.
Though, among the daimyo and nobles, it was fairly common.
Unintentionally, Simu's thoughts drifted elsewhere.
Realizing it, he coughed and refocused.
"Lindy is part of the reason," he admitted.
"But more importantly… I just don't think there should be so many people suffering in this world."
After speaking, Simu laughed and scratched his head.
"Senior Tsunade, do you think I'm talking too much…?"
Saying something like this out loud felt a bit embarrassing.
But instead of teasing him, Tsunade's expression turned serious.
"Why do you think that?" she asked.
Simu shrugged.
"Think about it—ninjas have incredible abilities."
"They can build dams, reclaim wasteland, develop new technologies... so why waste it all on fighting?"
This was something that had always puzzled him.
In Simu's view, all conflicts stemmed from resources.
And yet, ninjas—who had the power to create resources—were always fighting just to survive.
The same projects that ordinary people struggled for months or years to complete, often at the cost of many lives, could be easily handled by ninjas.
But as Simu spoke, Tsunade quickly spotted a flaw in his thinking.
"But if ninjas give up fighting, other nations will take advantage of them," Tsunade said.
"If you grow stronger, someone will try to bring you down. You hit me, I hit you back. The ninja world is trapped in an endless cycle of war and conflict. That's why real progress never happens."
Simu nodded slightly.
"Exactly. Because the ninja world is stuck in this vicious cycle, there must be a force strong enough whether through power or deterrence to break it and rewrite the rules."
Tsunade's eyes widened in shock.
"Wait… Are you saying you want to unify the entire ninja world?"
This was something even her grandfather never accomplished.
Simu smiled.
"When a land is divided for too long, it must unite. And when it stays united for too long, it will eventually break apart. Since unification is inevitable… why shouldn't I be the one to do it?"
At that moment, his eyes burned with terrifying ambition.
Tsunade was speechless.
But suddenly, everything made sense.
Now she understood why Simu wasn't worried about the Hyuga's Byakugan falling into enemy hands.
A man aiming to unite the entire ninja world wouldn't care about something as small as a single pair of eyes.
For some reason, Tsunade couldn't stop herself from asking the young man one more thing.
"What about after unification?" Tsunade asked.
Simu gestured toward the Hyuga branch members, then pointed further—to the countless civilians and slaves suffering under noble rule.
His eyes hardened with resolve.
"After that, I want everyone to live with dignity. To be treated like real people."
Tsunade fell silent.
She had traveled far, seen suffering, and witnessed the cruelty of the world.
But she had never once considered changing it.
To her, this was simply how things were—harsh and chaotic.
Yet, the man before her wasn't just accepting that reality.
He was creating a new one.
A world that had never existed before.
