The story begins with the Celestials launching a major offensive against the Abyssians in a valley known as the Vale of Shadows. During a fierce skirmish, Lyra finds herself separated from her unit. In the chaos, she stumbles into a hidden glade, where she encounters Kaelith, who is equally lost amidst the battle.

Initially, the two women view each other as enemies, their instincts driving them to fight. However, as they clash, they realize they are equally matched. In a moment of unexpected vulnerability, they draw back, sensing the deep weariness that accompanies their endless war.

As the program was launched, young people from both Celestial and Abyssian backgrounds signed up eagerly. They spent time living in each other's communities, participating in traditional customs and learning the histories that shaped their identities.
