Klein did not take off his clothing or dive into the water wearing them. He only had a few clean and usable sets left and couldn't squander them so early.

So, instead, he formed Essence Shields and placed them over the pool before lunging from one to the other. It took some of his essence, but he could afford to waste a bit now after the power-up.

"Looks like you found a way to use your new gift," added Xin.

"There's still so much to learn," he muttered, spreading his Spatial Sight ahead of him as he began moving.

"This is a useful skill," she said again, feeling more talkative than usual. "You probably wouldn't have lost your way in the Tenebrous Realm if you had Spatial Sight."

"I didn't get lost," Klein grunted.

"Really, so the two and a half years you were merely stumbling around with a purpose?"
