The days passed, but Brandon never returned. 

The massive sum of cash remained untouched in a room adjacent to his office, sitting there as if waiting for someone to claim it. 

Strangely, the room had no lock—not even the simplest of security measures. 

Only Brandon had the keys, and no one else seemed to have access. 

More baffling was the fact that no one questioned the money's presence, nor did anyone inquire about its whereabouts. 

It was as if it had been completely forgotten.

Ted, however, couldn't shake the unease growing inside him. 

He knew that the superstore was under constant surveillance, with cameras installed in nearly every corner of the building. 

There should have been footage of everything—who entered, who left, and most importantly, what happened to the money. 

Yet, something about the situation felt off.
