"What is going on, Lily?" Dagon said as he dryly smiled at his daughter. It wasn't like his daughter to make a speech like that in front of seniors, but he and the newly arrived became aware of everything from others with swift, telepathic exchanges.

"I don't know what Almond did to make you all like that, but that's exactly what we want," old monster Liang said with a ruthless grin. "There's no progress without suffering. We are already behind you, Almond, so throw us any challenge you can. We'll accept it."

"That's right." Admiral Rudra nodded with a severe and determined expression.
