Sending News Back

**Chapter 20: Sending News Back**

"Elder Bai Hu, please send this letter back to the sect!"

Outside the Tianbao Academy, Bai Lu met with the Elder of the Min Clan and handed him a letter.

For a long time, Bai Lu had wanted to inform the sect that her cousin could now practice cultivation. However, considering that her cousin's reasoning made sense—to wait until she had truly made progress in her cultivation—Bai Lu decided to hold off on sending the news.

But after Tang Yuehua's breakthrough, Bai Lu immediately wrote a letter by hand and prepared to ask the people secretly protecting them to send the message back to the sect.

As for her and her cousin, they wouldn't return for at least another half month. This semester was ending in two weeks, and unlike regular academic terms, all Soul Master Academy semesters lasted a full year with no mid-year breaks.

Since the semester was almost over, Tang Yuehua wanted to at least finish it before returning to the sect. After all, she had waited more than half a year, so another two weeks didn't make much difference.

However, the news of her cousin's successful breakthrough needed to be sent as soon as possible.

Elder Bai Hu took the letter and asked Bai Lu, "Miss, why did you suddenly ask me to deliver a letter back to the sect? Is there something wrong at the academy?"

"Elder Bai Hu and Elder Tang Ming, my cousin has finally reached Level 10!" Bai Lu smiled faintly and then, looking at both elders, she shared the good news with a grin.

Elder Tang Ming had been sent by the leader of the Haotian Sect.

She could already predict the changes in their expressions.

"What?!"

"Bai Lu, are you telling the truth?"

"The eldest young miss has surpassed Level 10?"

"How is that possible…?"

"Miss, wasn't she unable to practice?"

"..."

Elder Bai Hu was genuinely shocked upon hearing what Bai Lu said.

"Where is the eldest young miss now?"

"No, I must confirm this with my own eyes!"

Upon receiving Bai Lu's confirmation, the two elders quickly asked where Tang Yuehua was.

"Cousin... she has some matters to attend to right now. Elder Bai Hu, it would be best if you sent the letter back to the sect first!"

Bai Lu knew that Tang Yuehua had gone to share the good news with Gu Ziyi, and it wouldn't be the best time for the elders to see her at the moment.

However, she didn't expect that after her cousin went to meet Gu Ziyi, he would take the initiative while she wasn't around.

With how she had been acting in recent months, Bai Lu had believed Tang Yuehua could restrain her emotions.

Moreover, now that her cousin had made a breakthrough, they would soon be leaving.

"Alright, this is indeed joyful news. I will return to the sect immediately!"

Elder Bai Hu didn't delay after hearing her persuasion. Naturally, the sect leader needed to know this as soon as possible.

"Old Ming, I'll leave these two to you!"

After speaking to Elder Tang Ming, Elder Bai Hu vanished in a flash, obviously eager to deliver the message to the sect.

"Bai Lu, tell me quickly how the eldest young miss managed to progress in her cultivation!"

Elder Tang Ming ignored the departing Elder Bai Hu and immediately asked Bai Lu, curiosity piqued by how Tang Yuehua had become able to cultivate.

He knew the eldest miss had been unable to practice. He had never noticed when she started cultivating, which made him feel he had been negligent in his duties.

Gu Ziyi embraced Tang Yuehua and kissed her for some time before finally letting her go.

He was overjoyed to have won her heart.

After all, Ah Yin and Bibi Dong were still out of reach for him.

Especially Ah Yin!

Gu Ziyi had carefully calculated Ah Yin's age—specifically, her age after transforming into a human.

Ah Yin met Tang Hao after about five years of training on the continent, when he was 35 years old.

When Tang Hao was 44, Ah Yin had just reached maturity, capable of giving birth to Tang San.

A Soul Beast transformed into a human typically reaches maturity at Level 60.

In other words, Ah Yin met Tang Hao around nine years before, when she was at Level 60.

With the qualifications of the Blue Silver Emperor, it would be considered slow to advance two levels per year. Any slower, and her status and qualifications would be deemed quite poor.

So, based on the calculations, Ah Yin should have been around Level 42 when she first met Tang Hao.

Soul Beasts typically possess full innate soul power when they assume human form, especially a powerful one like the Blue Silver Emperor.

Xiao Wu reached Level 40 at the age of 14 without consuming any immortal herbs.

I believe Ah Yin, as the Blue Silver Emperor, had a similar pace.

Therefore, when Ah Yin met Tang Hao, her human age after transformation should have been around 16 years old—no more than 18, otherwise, she would have been a failure as the Blue Silver Emperor.

Soul Beasts always seem to begin transforming at around the age of six.

So, counting the time, Ah Yin needs at least 18 more years to meet Tang Hao. She would only begin her transformation in about two years, when Tang Hao turns 19.

In other words, it would take several more years before Ah Yin could fully transform!

That's why Gu Ziyi said Ah Yin was still out of reach.

Bibi Dong was also still very young.

It was better to win over Tang Yuehua, who had practically walked right into his arms.

With his relationship with her, joining the Haotian Sect later wouldn't be impossible. He could then use the sect's power to gather Immortal Herbs.

Of course, everything depended on the situation and whether he could ensure priority access to the Immortal Herbs. Otherwise, he would use the Haotian Sect's resources to improve himself and eventually seek out the Immortal Herbs on his own.

Gu Ziyi wasn't sure if his Martial Soul—Talisman—was truly just an auxiliary Martial Soul. If it was, then joining a faction would definitely be the best course of action.

Now that Tang Yuehua had this relationship with him, the Haotian Sect seemed like a good option for him to join.

Helping her solve the issue of her inability to practice was enough to win the favor of the Haotian Sect.

Of course, the condition was that the sect couldn't find out about his relationship with Tang Yuehua just yet.

Their relationship couldn't be exposed too soon.

"Gu Ziyi, would you like to join our Haotian Sect?"

Tang Yuehua buried her head in his arms again, as if telepathically connected to him. After calming down, she asked Gu Ziyi about his thoughts.

"Alright!"

After hearing Tang Yuehua's words, Gu Ziyi immediately agreed. Then he quickly asked, "But with my talent, wouldn't the Haotian Sect not want me?"

"Actually, there's something I haven't told you yet. I'm the daughter of the Haotian Sect's leader!"

"You helped me solve the problem of not being able to cultivate. As long as I ask, my father will surely agree." Tang Yuehua lifted her head and revealed her identity to Gu Ziyi with a smile, hoping to surprise him.

"Wow, you're actually the daughter of the Haotian Sect leader! No wonder you have such talent..." Gu Ziyi pretended to be surprised.

"Yes, but our relationship might need to be kept secret for now..." Tang Yuehua nodded and then spoke softly.

"I understand..."

Upon hearing this, Gu Ziyi immediately stroked her head and smiled gently.

"Thank you! Gu Ziyi, you're so kind!"

Seeing that he understood her, Tang Yuehua immediately gave a sweet smile.

"Gu Ziyi, I want to..."

Then Tang Yuehua lifted her head and looked at him tenderly, her lips slightly parted with a newfound desire.

N/E: We are nearing the end of Volume 1. As many of you know, Chinese works typically don't have volumes, but I wanted to add this structure to make the story easier to follow. The next chapters will be quite exciting. I hope you enjoy my writing and the ideas I've incorporated!
