Inside the Mysterious Study Room, Rosen approached his Main God Computer and sat down slowly.
The reason he had decided to abandon the idea of replicating the Sharingan was simple—the Main God Computer had presented him with a far better option.
After advancing his Hunter Sequence to Sequence 8 and raising his spiritual energy to 13 points, with a potential maximum of 24 points, the Main God Computer had silently upgraded itself. It evolved from a Sequence 9 supernatural item into a Sequence 8 item.
Rosen took hold of the Main God Computer's webcam and pressed it against his Hunter's Eye. The eye began to blur and morph, absorbing the webcam while simultaneously drawing in Rosen's Nen energy. His spiritual energy seeped into the camera, helping his Hunter's Eye to fully devour it while making fine adjustments in accordance with his will.
Within a few minutes, the Hunter's Eye had completed its evolution.
Godslayer Crossbow LV2 (All-type Nen Ability):
Properties: Increases base damage by 30%, greatly enhances the power of Nen energy, and stores all of Rosen's Nen.
Attachments: Hunter's Eye, Artist's Magazine.
Passive Abilities: 360-degree vision, 20x vision enhancement, auto-recognition, auto-tracking.
Active Abilities: Capture, Upload, Combine, Destroy.
Supernatural Ability: Hunt—Killing spiritual life forms slightly restores spiritual energy, with a chance to gain additional rewards from captured spirits.
Rosen lifted the Godslayer Crossbow, now in its crossbow form, and watched as the Hunter's Eye rotated, scanning in every direction.
With a single thought, the Hunter's Eye locked onto a slime in the toxic swamp outside the window.
Click!
A sound, like the shutter of a camera, echoed as the Hunter's Eye blinked open and shut. The targeted slime immediately vanished without a trace.
Rosen checked the Hunter Sequence's black supernatural card in his heart. Previously smooth and unmarked, one side of the card now bore a photo of the slime, frozen in time.
He directed the Hunter's Eye at another slime and repeated the process.
Now, the black supernatural card had a photo of a slime on each side.
At this point, Rosen had three choices—Upload, Combine, or Destroy.
If he chose Upload, the two captured slimes would be sealed within the Main God Computer.
If he selected Combine, the two slimes would be merged into a single, stronger creature.
And if he opted for Destroy, both slimes would cease to exist.
The Hunter's Eye allowed Rosen to capture images and seal targets, giving him the ability to destroy them at will.
While this ability seemed incredibly powerful, it had its limitations.
As a Sequence 8 hunter, Rosen could only use the Hunter's Eye on Sequence 9 targets. Additionally, it could only be used twice per day at Sequence 8, increasing to three times at Sequence 7, and so on. The limited uses and restriction to lower-ranked targets meant its full potential would not be apparent until later stages.
However, the true power lay in the Upload and Combine features.
By uploading targets to the Main God Computer, Rosen could convert them into digital images, which he could then modify using the computer's drawing software. The changes made to the digital versions would be reflected permanently on the real targets, though the full extent of this power was still unclear.
Combining targets was another powerful option, allowing Rosen to fuse two creatures, inheriting the strongest attributes and abilities from each. For instance, if one slime had a high life force and the other had an excellent split ability, the combined slime would possess both superior life force and split abilities.
With these active abilities—Capture, Upload, Combine, and Destroy—the Hunter's Eye had become an incredibly versatile tool.
The passive upgrades were equally impressive. The Hunter's Eye could now turn invisible, provide a 360-degree field of view, and enhance vision up to 20x. It could also automatically detect and track targets, behaving almost like a living entity.
Rosen removed the Hunter's Eye from the Godslayer Crossbow and tossed it out the window. The eye floated outside, invisible, scanning the landscape across a radius of dozens of miles.
Suddenly, the auto-detection feature triggered, identifying a suspicious area just 300 meters away, near the toxic swamp. The spot was cleverly camouflaged, likely a trap set by the half-masked assassin and his team.
"They're begging for death…" Rosen muttered, shaking his head.
He retrieved the Hunter's Eye and began preparing for the hunt.
Laying out a canvas, he picked up his Divine Pen and prepared to draw Sequence 8 ammunition.
Thanks to his Artist's Magazine and his Nen abilities, Rosen could transform his drawings into supernatural bullets.
However, after being mentored by experts, Rosen learned that his previous method had been far too simplistic. In the past, if he wanted an incendiary round, he would simply sketch a bullet exploding in flames. While this worked, the resulting ammunition was far weaker than it could have been.
His mentors had taught him that there was true art to creating supernatural bullets, and mastering that art could greatly improve his effectiveness.
In this world, a massive industry existed around the creation of supernatural bullets for hunters. Wizards crafted alchemy bullets imbued with spells, and scientists engineered high-tech bullets with specialized properties. These products were highly sought after by hunters, enhancing their combat capabilities.
While Rosen's Artist's Magazine allowed him to generate supernatural bullets from his drawings, providing him with near-infinite ammo, he realized this advantage was far greater than he had initially thought.
The price of alchemy bullets was exorbitant, making his ability to generate bullets from nothing extremely valuable. Nevertheless, Rosen knew that by mastering the craftsmanship behind high-end bullets, he could vastly improve the quality of the ammunition he produced.
Instead of drawing a basic image, Rosen now understood the importance of rendering the internal structure of bullets in meticulous detail.
For example, drawing a carefully constructed blueprint of an armor-piercing round, with all its intricate components, would result in a far more powerful bullet than a simple sketch of a bullet penetrating armor.
While Rosen's drawings could create something from nothing, the more realistic and detailed his renderings, the stronger the final product.
With this newfound knowledge, Rosen had been gathering diagrams of alchemy bullets and their designs from various sequences. He had even managed to acquire the blueprints for a discarded alchemy bullet, and now it was time to see if he could reproduce it.
