In the Supercluster of Stars, Rosen stepped out of the interdimensional gate and appeared within a black hole.
The power of the Black Hole Source Seed suppressed the entire black hole, causing it to freeze in place.
Before he could search for the Immortal Star God, the Immortal Star God had already appeared, accompanied by flickering starlight, and was unexpectedly staring at him in the black hole.
"Did you know we would fail?"
Rosen took a deep breath to steady his emotions and asked.
"That was the Ancient God…"
The Immortal Star God nodded in affirmation. "The Morning Light Holy God, the Particle Holy God, plus Longbo Holy God and the World Will. Together, they could handle even a weaker Eternal Being without issue. But when it comes to fighting against the Ancient God's avatar, there's no way out. They didn't die at the hands of the Ancient God in their previous lives, so they had no idea how terrifying the Ancient God truly is.
There are other Eternal Beings in the universe that have reincarnated, and even some that are still alive. But no one dares approach the Ancient God's world. Almost everyone is waiting for the Ancient God to transcend the universe and become the Primordial Being. For you to challenge the Ancient God and survive, that's truly a miracle."
"..."
Rosen fell silent, not expecting that the World Will and the others would be viewed so arrogantly by the Immortal Star God.
However, aside from the Immortal Morning Light truly being finished, the World Will and the others were not necessarily defeated.
Because, during this hunt for the Ancient God's avatar, the World Tree had not made a move. His instincts told him that the World Will and the others still had a hidden hand.
How many trump cards had the Ancient God prepared for their avatars? Had they exhausted all their power after so many years of the Primordial God's slumber?
The World Will did not know, so hunting the Ancient God's avatar was a gamble. But since it was a gamble, there would certainly be both wins and losses. The World Will had not only considered the possibility of victory but had certainly anticipated the possibility of defeat as well. The fact that the World Tree had not made an appearance was very likely their escape route.
It was just uncertain now whether the Ancient God's avatar had already known their retreat plan years in advance through the Book of Fate.
Rosen still wanted to gather more information from the Immortal Star God, but the Immortal Star God had already left.
It was evident that the Immortal Star God didn't want to engage in further conversation with him.
The previous appearance had likely been only to verify whether the World Will and the others had already failed.
Now, there was no returning to the Ancient God's world. Returning meant walking straight into a trap, a dead end.
Perhaps, as the Immortal Star God had said, they could only wait for the Ancient God to transcend and become the Primordial Being.
But others could wait patiently. He, however, could not afford to wait.
Because he possessed the complete Time Source Seed and one-tenth of the Space Source Seed. The Ancient God might let others go, but it would never spare him. Therefore, he absolutely could not sit back and wait for death. Though Eternal Beings might be helpless against the Ancient God, the power of the Primordial Being could certainly deal with it.
Rosen opened the interdimensional gate and left the Supercluster of Stars, heading towards a nearby supercluster.
The interdimensional gate did not cover vast distances in a single leap because he didn't want the Immortal Star God to realize that he had mastered the Space Source Seed.
With each opening of the interdimensional gate, Rosen moved further away from the Ancient God's world, preparing to head toward the Ocean of the Universe's Origins.
Even in the depths of the Ocean of the Universe's Origins, it was difficult for Eternal Beings to stay for long.
The relics left behind by the Primordial Beings were most likely to be found within the Ocean of the Universe's Origins.
Rosen's departure, along with the flight of several Immortal Gods, and the World Will falling into the hands of the Ancient God's avatar, led to a dramatic shift in the Ancient God's world.
The world, which had been shrouded in darkness, now greeted the long-awaited spring after the cold winter.
From this perspective, Rosen and the World Will were indeed a group of world-destroying villains.
Without their interference, the Ancient God's avatar easily quelled the celestial disasters plaguing the Ancient God's world. But even though the disasters were calmed, human misfortune couldn't be wiped away so easily. Once the hearts of the people turned corrupt, it was impossible to reverse things to how they were before.
The most crucial point was that the Ancient God's avatar could not annihilate all life. It was easy to kill, but the grievances of the slain would never fade away.
The best course of action was to restore order and rebuild trust among the people, making them realize that the true enemy was not the Ancient God, but the Immortal Gods like the Old Fisherman. Only by redirecting the people's resentment could they prevent it from hindering the Ancient God's true form from awakening and harvesting the spiritual essence of all living things.
The Eternal Will of the Ancient God's avatar enveloped the entire world, quickly selecting a large number of candidates suitable to become heroes.
These heroes were then granted immense talents, the supreme fortune of the world's favor, easily obtainable rare treasures, and memories of loyalty to the Ancient God. These heroes would naturally follow their destiny to quell the human misfortunes and redirect the hatred of the people.
As for the issue of resource depletion in the Ancient God World, transferring a portion of resources from other eternal worlds would suffice. The Ancient God's avatar finally took out the severely wounded and dormant Will of the World and began cleansing its eternal will.
Immortal gods and demons possess eternal wills. The word "eternal" already says it all.The eternal will is fused into the source seed, and the deepest layer of that fusion can likely only be erased by a Primordial Lifeform. Other than that, erasing an eternal will is no easy task. Unless a stronger eternal will grinds it away over a long period, an eternal will almost never dissipates naturally.
This is also why the eternal will on the wound of the Eternal Soul-Binding Wolf could linger for countless years. In the end, while an eternal will can be erased by external force, trying to alter or enslave it is absolutely impossible.Even the Ancient God at peak strength could not directly alter the self-awareness of an immortal god or demon through their eternal will.
But the Will of the World is an exception. The beings of the Ancient God World are also exceptions.Because all these lives were born from fragments of the Ancient God's divine essence, even if the Will of the World developed an eternal will, that will shares the same origin as the Ancient God. Though there may be some differences, there is no essential disparity. With the power of source seed compatibility, it's enough to assimilate each other's eternal wills.
Very quickly, through this assimilation, the Ancient God's avatar completely erased the self born from the Will of the World's eternal will.Only a mechanical mind remained—emotionless, thoughtless, governed solely by absolute logic—to continue managing the operation of the Ancient God World.
After handling all this, the Ancient God's avatar was already feeling extremely weakened. The Primal Heaven-Splitting Axe was not an eternal artifact that could be used freely, and cleansing the self of the Will of the World had consumed an enormous amount of energy.
If this had been before, the Ancient God's avatar could already return to slumber. But not this time. The internal rebellion within the Ancient God World was easy to resolve, but the truly troublesome matters were the eternal beings outside who watched like hungry wolves—and more troublesome still was that escaped Rosen, who was inexplicably beyond the Fate Creation Tome's control.
Fate cannot afford to be wrong. Even a small error can snowball into massive consequences through the butterfly effect. The fate previously set by the Fate Creation Tome could no longer be completely trusted. And once doubt arises, the direction of fate veers even further.
Correct fate allows one to avoid calamity and achieve success; mistaken fate leads one unknowingly down a path to ruin.So until Rosen is eliminated, the Ancient God's avatar no longer places faith in the Fate Creation Tome.
The Ancient God's true body didn't rely on the Fate Creation Tome to reach this point. What it depended on has always been overwhelming strength—the tome merely served as a complement. Given the current situation, it was time to reveal some of the trump cards the true body left behind. That alone would be enough to stir those lurking rats into action.
...
Although Rosen had distanced himself from the Ancient God World, the Creator's Eye continued secretly observing him.Ordinarily, the Creator's Eye wouldn't be able to see that far, but with the space source seed, distance had become meaningless to him.As long as he wanted to observe, there was nowhere he couldn't see—aside from the Cosmic Origin Sea.
Rosen's first major discovery was that he had finally located the "third world" suspected by the Will of the World. At first, he thought it referred to the Fate Book Room, but later, when he learned that the Fate Book Room didn't require absorbing eternal worlds, he realized that there must be hidden worlds within the Ancient God World.Unexpectedly, it wasn't just one—but many eternal worlds hidden away.
All of these unknown eternal worlds were concealed in the deep sea of the Spirit Realm. The eternal beings slain by the Ancient God had their corpses turned into nutrient fluid within the Ancient God avatar at the core of the Dark Sun.As for the whereabouts of their eternal worlds—it had long been a mystery. But now, it appeared they had all been hidden in the deep sea of the Spirit Realm, which might also be home to countless beings formed from fragments of the Ancient God's divine essence.
Even while slumbering, the Ancient God could make every eternal being in the universe avoid Him.The foundations of the Ancient God were far from as simple as they seemed on the surface.
Rosen assigned his bronze dragon avatar to keep watch over the Ancient God World, with instructions to immediately relay any findings to his true body.As for the true body, it had once again arrived at the edge of the Cosmic Origin Sea.From this point forward, he had to be extremely cautious.
Although the common belief was that eternal beings in the universe had either died through infighting or taken their own lives after growing weary of existence...Human nature comes in thousands of forms—so too with eternal beings.
Rosen believed that some eternal beings had indeed grown tired of living and chosen to perish. But he didn't believe all of them had. There had to be some who had gone into hiding—perhaps to avoid attracting the attention of the Ancient God, waiting in secret for the right moment; or perhaps simply because they didn't want to fight Him and chose to seclude themselves.
Rosen simply didn't believe that all the eternal beings in the universe were dead.
Just look at the Undying Star Gods—their reincarnations were still active throughout the universe. That alone proved it was absolutely impossible to rule out the possibility that some eternal beings were still alive and well.
However, while the universe was vast, the number of places suitable for eternal beings to hide was extremely limited.
Although eternal beings could theoretically hide in any corner of the universe, it wasn't hard to conceal themselves for eight or ten million years—but to remain hidden for several billion years, they absolutely could not stay in those regions far removed from the Sea of Cosmic Origin. After all, eternal beings still needed a suitable environment to continue growing stronger.
Therefore, Rosen didn't even need to think too hard to be certain: most of those eternal beings were hiding in the Sea of Cosmic Origin.
That place not only had the richest energy and the best environment, but it was also the one location even the Ancient Gods couldn't sweep through at will. Most importantly, the Sea of Cosmic Origin also contained the legacies left behind by the Primordial Lifeforms. If Rosen could think of searching there for such legacies, how could the eternal beings not have thought the same?
So in the Sea of Cosmic Origin, one had to be wary not only of environmental dangers but also of those eternal beings lurking within.
Rosen wandered cautiously through the Sea of Cosmic Origin for several months, but ended up gaining absolutely nothing.
If the Primordial Lifeforms' legacy were that easy to obtain, it probably wouldn't have been his turn to covet it in the first place.
Seeing that aimlessly drifting through the Sea of Cosmic Origin would only leave things up to chance, Rosen began to consider whether there were other ways he could become stronger.
He thought of the Miracle Sequence. His True Creator Sequence had already reached the level of an Undying Divine Demon, so naturally the Miracle Sequence could be pushed further as well.
But this "further" didn't mean elevating the Miracle Sequence to the level of an eternal being.
That was because, in the entire universe, there simply didn't exist any miracle treasures on the level of eternal divine artifacts. Thus, the Miracle Sequence couldn't rely on fusing such nonexistent eternal miracle treasures to break through. To elevate the Miracle Sequence to the eternal level, one would need to integrate all of the Miracle Source Seeds into it.
Right now, Rosen only had one Miracle Source Seed, which was far from enough to allow the sequence to ascend to the eternal level.
And that Miracle Source Seed had already been fused into the Miracle Tarot Card.
So to continue advancing the Miracle Sequence, he would have to find other Miracle Source Seeds.
He held one; one was hidden in the heart of the Ancient God; the ones held by the World Will and Immortal Dawn had already fallen into the hands of the Ancient God's avatar; the Old Fisherman and Immortal Particle each possessed one. These were the six known Miracle Source Seeds.
Apart from those, there should still be four Miracle Source Seeds scattered throughout the universe.
Compared to the Time Source Seeds, Rosen discovered that the power of the Miracle Source Seeds also exceeded the usual nine-seed limit.
So it was highly likely that, like the Time Source Seeds, the Miracle Source Seeds had also been created by the Primordial Lifeforms but had never fallen into the hands of any eternal beings. No matter how hard Rosen tried to sense them with his eternal will, he couldn't detect even the slightest residual eternal will inside any of the Miracle Seeds.
Relying on a single Miracle Source Seed, it was extremely difficult to sense the presence of others already possessed by someone else.
Rosen could only vaguely sense the approximate locations of the other Miracle Seeds through his Miracle Sequence.
To pinpoint their exact locations, he needed the help of the Time Source Seed.
Fate wasn't the only thing that could foresee the future—Time's grip on the future was in no way inferior to that of Fate.
The only difference was that Time could only see the future, whereas Fate could manipulate it.
Rosen opened the Creator's Sketchbook and transformed the Eternal Time Origin and Eternal Miracle Origin into Creator's Pigments. Soon, he had painted a Time-Foresight Portrait targeting one of the Miracle Seeds. The subject of the painting—none other than the Undying Star God.
Obviously, that one was out of reach, so Rosen kept painting to lock onto another target.
Very soon, the second Time-Foresight Portrait was complete. The painting depicted a vast ocean drifting in the starlit void of space.
Rosen transformed the Eternal Space Origin into Creator's Pigment and used his brush to paint a door onto the canvas.
Once he pushed open that painted door, he would step into the real ocean shown in the picture.
Had he not seen it with the Eye of the Creator himself, it would've been hard to believe that such a sea could even exist in the universe. It clearly wasn't a naturally formed celestial body, but an artificial creation—a mass of ordinary water spanning tens of thousands of light-years in diameter, floating in the starlit skies of the Seventh Galactic Ring.
The Ancient God Universe had birthed Undying Divine Demons, yet it was barely a single light-year wide—thin as paper.
This floating sea in the starry sky, though made purely of ordinary water elements, had such a massive volume that its matter content was staggering. Without the mass of hundreds of superclusters, there was no way to form such a sea.
But the real question was: there were no signs of any extraordinary elements or life present. So what was the point of creating this sea?
Rosen carefully sensed the nearby superclusters and discovered that countless stars formed a concealed array.
To go to such lengths to hide this sea, anyone with that kind of power surely wouldn't do something meaningless.
Through the Miracle Sequence, Rosen carefully probed for the presence of a Miracle Seed—and sure enough, at the core of that sea, he sensed one.
Someone was using a Miracle Seed in an attempt to transform that entire sea into a miracle.
