No more fear

Jack met her gaze. He had avoided this moment for as long as possible, but now, there was no running from it.

A figure stirred beside the queen.

Layla.

She watched Jack with an unsettling smile, licking her lips as if savoring the moment. The aura, the way he fought, the way the crowd trembled in his presence—she knew. There was no doubt in her mind.

'This has to be him. Tyme told me he would come. I can't be mistaken. It has to be him.'

This was why she had gathered the generals and the queen.

The being she had been waiting for had finally revealed himself.

The one known by many names.

The one feared even by gods.

"Queen Naya," Layla spoke, her voice dripping with certainty. "Do you really need to ask? His aura alone is enough to tell us who he is."

Her lips curled into a smile as her words sent a chill through the air.

"This person is the one we came for."

"The Lord of the Abyss."
