As Nellie stood there, frozen with fear, she heard a faint knock at the door. She hesitated for a moment, wondering who it could be. But then she remembered that she had locked the door, and she knew that it couldn't be Sheila or anyone else who worked for her.
Cautiously, Nellie made her way to the door and peered through the peephole. To her surprise, she saw Wesley standing in the hallway, a look of concern on his face.
Nellie's heart skipped a beat as she quickly unlocked the door and let Wesley in. "What are you doing here?" she asked, trying to keep her voice low.
Wesley closed the door behind him and leaned against it, his eyes scanning the room. "I saw Mark leave the castle," he said. "And I knew that you might be in danger."
Nellie's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know?" she asked.
Wesley smiled. "I have my ways," he said. "But we need to get you out of here. Now."
