Chapter 113: Wow! I Know What This Thing Is

Lin Fan and Old Zhang strolled down the street, observing the bustling crowd, lost in thought. "What should we do next?"

"Old Zhang, should we go find Little Bao?" Lin Fan asked.

"Sure!" Old Zhang replied cheerfully.

Somewhere on a remote island…

Little Bao, clad in swimming trunks and sunglasses, lounged on a deck chair, basking in the sun and listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. He sipped a specially prepared cool drink, while a group of older women in bikinis paraded before him, occasionally casting flirtatious glances his way.

"A bunch of vulgar old ladies," Little Bao muttered to himself. "I'm still a child."

He disliked these women intensely. His heart belonged to Xiao Hong from school. Compared to her, these women were simply unbearable. Their plump figures and ample bosoms were an annoyance to him.

"I'm so bored. I should have brought Lin Fan with me," he sighed. He had never imagined a vacation could be so tedious. He turned to his bodyguard. "Let's return to Yanhai City this afternoon. I'm tired."

While others had to scrimp and save for ages to afford such a vacation, Little Bao could simply summon his private jet on a whim, flying off to wherever he pleased.

Such a life was the dream of many, yet unattainable.

The life of the rich was just so…dull.

Meanwhile…

Lin Fan tilted his head, puzzled by the sight of citizens rushing past in a panic. Why did they all seem so frantic? Had something happened?

The Evil Rooster sensed it.

It was the aura of its kin.

Excellent!

It felt an opportunity to escape these foolish humans. Perhaps the desire for freedom was so potent that it actually pulled Lin Fan towards the location of its fellow evil being.

A powerful aura.

The Evil Rooster assessed the strength of the aura; it was at least level four, a powerful evil being indeed. It considered Lin Fan. From their initial encounter until now, it didn't believe him to be particularly strong, just strong enough to handle it. However, facing such a powerful fellow evil being, the hope of freedom beckoned.

"Slow down, hen!" Lin Fan, holding the leash, trailed behind, bewildered by the fleeing citizens. He heard their terrified cries: "Evil being! There's an evil being!"

What was an evil being? He didn't quite understand.

If the evil beings that had perished in Lin Fan's stomach knew this, they would surely crawl back out, protesting, "You ate us, and you don't even know what we are! We'll burst your belly!"

The Evil Rooster's steps were light; the chance of rebirth was within reach.

Regardless of what the foolish humans said, it had to get there as fast as possible.

In the distance…

Bang!

"Oh my god!"

Lu Han's palms tingled, his hair singed and curled like springs.

He stared gravely at the Evil Eel. His previous assumptions were shattered. This creature's power was beyond imagination. The electric arcs were incredibly potent, and their strength intensified with the fight, becoming truly frightening.

The Evil Eel roared in fury, electric arcs flashing like pythons, crackling loudly.

The electrical power was immense. Small pebbles on the ground levitated, drawn by the energy.

"Careful! This evil being is about to unleash a big attack!" Lu Han warned.

The electric arc wrapped around the Evil Eel exploded instantly, forming a net that spread outwards, then transforming into pillars of electricity that slammed into the four High Court experts.

"Aagh!" Three screams echoed, signifying that three experts had been hit hard. The unbearable pain forced roars from their throats.

Damn it!

It really hurt!

Lu Han watched his companions stagger. "Can you guys even do this? I'll hold it off! Kill it! This thing's electric arcs are something else."

"We can!"

"A man can't say he can't!"

"You men, go!"

The Evil Eel casually swung its arms, each movement sending out arcs of electricity that ignited flames upon contact with buildings and left deep scorch marks on the ground.

Lin Fan and Old Zhang, led by the hen, arrived at Binyang Road.

Just as they arrived, a figure plummeted from the sky, landing at Lin Fan's feet.

Lu Han was covered in soot, his clothes tattered, as if he had been whipped with a flaming lash.

"I hate this! How could I encounter one with electricity?" He detested these despicable evil beings. It was like two evenly matched opponents fighting, and one suddenly pulled out a high-voltage electrical box, electrocuting the other.

Despicable! Shameless!

"Are you alright?" Lin Fan inquired.

"I'm fine, but you need to run! The evil being is just ahead! You'll die!" Lu Han coughed, his wounds blackened. They had underestimated the evil being's strength. It wasn't just level four, but definitely level five, and its electric arcs made it even more formidable.

It could fight close-range and long-range, with a wide area of effect.

He was a Buddhist High Court expert, a tank in group battles, but the enemy's electric arcs had a paralyzing effect. He could withstand the attacks, but the electric shocks were incredibly annoying. Every time he touched the Evil Eel, he would shudder, electricity coursing through him, weakening him before the Eel's powerful blows.

After speaking, Lu Han fainted.

The Evil Rooster trembled with excitement. Its chance had come. Perfect!

Lin Fan surveyed the scene.

In the distance, the other three High Court experts lay sprawled amongst the debris.

The female medical expert, in particular, lay face down on a stone slab, eyes starry, her cartoon underwear exposed to the breeze.

"Is it time for me to save them again? The pressure is immense," Lin Fan muttered.

Kind-hearted Old Zhang couldn't bear to see the injured. He instinctively wanted to pull out his acupuncture needles and heal them.

The Evil Eel's injuries weren't severe, but purple liquid oozed from several cuts. Seeing more people arrive, it slowly approached.

"Old Zhang, what kind of animal is this? I've never seen one before," Lin Fan asked.

"I don't know either, but it looks so cute!" Old Zhang replied.

"It is cute," Lin Fan agreed. "Look at its body, so long and tall. It reminds me of the snake we encountered before, but it's different. I'll go ask it what it is."

The Evil Eel glanced at the Evil Rooster, noticing the leash around its neck, and sneered.

The Evil Rooster clucked. "What's with that look? I infiltrated the enemy ranks! I'm a hero among evil beings! Stop looking down on me!"

Evil Eel: You have a leash around your neck. You've been tamed by humans. You betrayed us. You're a traitor!

Evil Rooster: I'm not a traitor! I'm a hero!

Evil Eel: Traitor!

Evil Rooster: Hero!

It was furious. It had infiltrated the enemy, only to be labeled a traitor by its own kind. It couldn't tolerate this. Damn it!

"What kind of animal are you?" Lin Fan asked, standing before the Evil Eel.

The Evil Eel looked down at the insignificant human and raised its hand, ready to strike. Electric arcs flickered. One blow would obliterate this human.

But just then, a figure darted out, grabbing Lin Fan and dodging the attack. Spinning in the air, he landed gracefully, setting Lin Fan down. He turned, smoothing back his hair, and said with a cocky grin, "Buddy, this isn't something you can handle. Stand here and watch how I take care of this evil being. If you think I'm doing a good job, you can clap for me. If you can play the flute, even better."

Gu Ao was a rather arrogant Buddhist High Court expert. He was well-built, spending his free time at the gym, firmly believing that a man needs a strong physique. His favorite gym activity was cycling, always choosing the bike at the very back. It seemed like he wasn't competing for a spot, but in reality, he was strategically positioning himself to observe his surroundings, in case any evil beings were lurking amongst the crowd. Oh, and also to admire the swaying hips. Not for any particular reason, just to look.

"Evil being, do you know who I am?" Gu Ao roared, enraged by the sight of his fallen comrades. He wanted the evil being to know that its actions had incurred the wrath of a powerful expert. If it had any sense, it would kneel and beg for forgiveness, perhaps securing a whole corpse.

"Old Zhang, come clap," Lin Fan said.

Old Zhang, who had been crouching down to examine the injured, abandoned his acupuncture plans and joined Lin Fan. "Clap for whom?"

Lin Fan pointed at Gu Ao. "For him."

Clap, clap!

Despite his apparent disregard for the Evil Eel, Gu Ao remained cautious. It had taken down Lu Han's team, so it was clearly not to be trifled with. His initial plan upon arrival was to hide and wait for backup.

But then these two civilians showed up. If he didn't intervene, they would be doomed.

Regardless of the situation, his entrance had to be stylish, exuding confidence.

Hearing the clapping, he wanted to say, "It's not time to clap yet! Can you hold off? I don't know what's going to happen next, but it's definitely not going to be good."

"You two should run," Gu Ao whispered. Once the civilians were gone, he could find a way to retreat. This Evil Eel wasn't simple. The electric arcs were more terrifying than he'd anticipated, judging by the damage to the surrounding buildings and the ground.

With his current strength, he couldn't withstand that kind of current.

Clap, clap!

The clapping continued, unwavering.

Gu Ao looked at Lin Fan and Old Zhang in bewilderment. He told them to run, not to clap!

Just then, the Evil Eel attacked.

Moments later…

The clapping gradually ceased.

Lin Fan looked down at the soot-covered Gu Ao. "Are you alright?"

Gu Ao struggled to sit up, but the pain made him break out in a sweat. He could only lie there, glaring at Lin Fan. "Are you demons?"

He told them to run! Why didn't they run? If they had run, everything would be fine!

He then lost consciousness.

"I'm not a demon."

"Me neither."

Lin Fan and Old Zhang shook their heads, then crouched down to pet the hen. "Why did he call us demons?"

The Evil Rooster looked at them as if to say, Because you two are idiots.

It waited. After all it had experienced, it wouldn't act rashly. It would wait for the Evil Eel to eliminate these foolish humans. Then, it would break free, and who would dare stop it?

A hero deserved a hero's welcome.

As for being a traitor, that was out of the question.

Unable to understand why Gu Ao called them demons, they decided to wait until he woke up to ask him.

Lin Fan walked up to the Evil Eel and gently touched its arm. "You're so cute, just like the puppies, snakes, and octopuses I've met before."

The Evil Eel was taken aback. No human had ever dared to touch it like this. "Cute" wasn't a good word. It didn't like that description.

It raised its hand, placing it on Lin Fan's shoulder. Its eyes were calm, but tiny electric arcs flickered, growing more intense, coursing through its arm and enveloping Lin Fan's body.

Die, foolish human!

Crackle, crackle!

Covered in electricity, Lin Fan's expression changed from happy to excited. He turned to Old Zhang. "Old Zhang, it can discharge electricity! I feel like I'm cultivating again, like we used to!"

"Really?" Old Zhang was surprised. They hadn't used the electric shock cultivation method in a long time, relying mostly on acupuncture. The Half-Step Universe Circulation Method was still powerful, but Lin Fan had mentioned that it didn't feel as intense as before.

So, he had been diligently studying and innovating, hoping to create even more powerful acupuncture techniques.

"It's somewhat effective, but not strong enough," Lin Fan assessed, feeling that it was weaker than the high-voltage box but stronger than a wall socket. He smiled. "Can you make it stronger? It's been a while since I've used electric shock cultivation. I'd be grateful if you could help me cultivate."

Enraged, the Evil Eel intensified the electric current, thickening the arcs from arm-width to thigh-width, increasing the power dramatically.

"Aagh!" Lin Fan cried. "Old Zhang, I feel power surging through me!"

His hair stood on end, electricity crackling around him. While it couldn't compare to the high-voltage box, it was still quite effective.

Old Zhang clapped excitedly. He wished he could apply his acupuncture now; combined with the electricity, it would be even more potent.

The Evil Rooster stared in disbelief.

What the hell?

Were these the same foolish humans?

It hadn't personally experienced the Evil Eel's electric current, but it knew that even a touch would be devastating.

Yet, this human was not only unharmed but also shouting about feeling powerful. What was going on?

Damn it!

The Evil Eel, realizing the electricity wasn't harming the human, slammed its hand onto Lin Fan's head. Bang! White smoke erupted from the impact, demonstrating the force of the blow.

Lin Fan shook his head and looked up at the Evil Eel.

The Evil Eel stared into the human's eyes, detecting a disturbing glint.

"Old Zhang, are you hungry?" Lin Fan asked.

Old Zhang looked up thoughtfully. "We had an egg this morning, and that's it. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't be hungry at all, but now I realize I am."

"Should we eat it?" Old Zhang pointed at the Evil Eel, a hint of longing in his eyes, followed by uncertainty. "But can we really eat it?"

Lin Fan pondered, then spotted a picture of an eel on the Ju Wei Xian restaurant window. "Look! It's edible! It's a type of fish. I've seen it before."

The Evil Eel and the Evil Rooster exchanged glances.

Their silent communication went something like this:

Foolish humans?

No, not foolish. Just plain stupid.

While the Evil Eel contemplated this, Lin Fan grabbed it and started dragging it towards Ju Wei Xian.

"Old Zhang, let's go eat!"

Lin Fan, unconcerned with the Evil Eel, pulled it along as if it were a rope.

The doorway was a bit narrow.

The Evil Eel's head and tail got stuck.

Lin Fan yanked it inside with all his might.

The Evil Eel felt dizzy, struggling to resist, but Lin Fan slapped its head, sending its thoughts into a whirl.

What's happening? A voice echoed in its head. "Be good. Don't move."
