Chapter 191: I Learned It All From the Movies

Lin Fan enjoyed helping others. Since the other party didn't reply, he figured they were shy, a feeling he could understand.

He walked towards the evil creature. Recalling scenes from movies, he adopted a serious expression, cupped his hands together in a fist-and-palm salute, and said,

"I am Lin Fan. Please enlighten me."

Then, he struck a starting pose he'd seen in films.

Not only were Gao Xiong and the others stunned, but even the two-headed demonic creature was bewildered by Lin Fan's gestures.

The two-headed demon stared curiously at Lin Fan, then glanced at the demonic rooster.

"Is this the foolish pawn you brought with you, traitor?"

Originally, the demonic rooster had intended to ignore the demon. It knew Lin Fan was powerful, far stronger than itself, and didn't want to invite trouble.

But upon hearing these words, the demonic rooster exploded.

"I am a demonic hero! What nonsense are you spouting?!"

It roared furiously. If its size wasn't a constraint, it would have smashed the demon's two heads. The nerve of this creature, not even knowing who it, a demonic hero, was! It deserved its impending doom.

"A traitor is a traitor, that much I know."

"I am a demonic hero, undercover among humans! I don't want to waste words on you. Just remember, your current situation is perilous. He is a terrifying human. If you flee now, you might still survive. Throwing your life away would be foolish."

This was all the demonic rooster could do.

It didn't try to justify itself. Every hero faces misunderstanding and accusations during their journey, but every hero endures and perseveres. The truth will always prevail.

"I am Lin Fan. Please enlighten me."

Seeing no response, Lin Fan assumed he hadn't spoken loudly enough and repeated himself. Anticipation filled him, his blood boiling in excitement for the impending fight.

He had learned many things watching movies with Old Zhang.

As Old Zhang put it, this was a form of progress.

Old Zhang was dedicated to serving Lin Fan, hoping to assist him in his cultivation journey. So far, he hadn't disappointed Lin Fan, consistently contributing to his progress.

The two-headed demon looked at Lin Fan, its gaze growing indifferent. The traitor urging it to escape was laughable. It had led the humans here, undoubtedly drawn by the energy fluctuations. Now, faced with the great two-headed demon, they realized their predicament and were trying to flee.

A traitor was a traitor.

There would be no good ending.

Suddenly, the two-headed demon attacked, slapping at Lin Fan's head with swift and powerful force. A direct hit would be fatal, leaving no chance for recovery.

Gao Xiong was astonished.

He realized this demon was strong. During their previous encounter, it had clearly held back, toying with him rather than fighting seriously.

Then, his jaw dropped as he witnessed the unbelievable.

The seemingly ferocious slap was effortlessly caught by the young man.

"What's his background?" Gao Xiong wondered.

Lin Fan, holding the demon's hand, calmly remarked, "Fast, but lacking explosive power."

He didn't really know what explosive power meant.

He was simply quoting lines from the movies.

He felt they sounded appropriate.

The enraged two-headed demon roared and punched Lin Fan in the face. The powerful force rippled outwards, rustling the surrounding leaves.

Lin Fan's head snapped to the side, but he quickly straightened it and said in a deep voice, "Did you skip your meal? Weak and powerless."

"I'll give you another chance."

"Hit me."

Old Zhang excitedly hugged the demonic rooster. "See? Just like in the movies! Lin Fan did it perfectly! He nailed the scene!"

The demonic rooster felt these two humans were far from normal. Indeed, as they said, those lines were straight out of a movie.

It couldn't believe the human was actually using them.

Xu Zihao, hidden in the shadows, sighed. He hadn't expected Yanhai City to harbor someone even more pretentious than himself.

This was excessive.

The two-headed demon raged. This despicable human dared to humiliate it! Unforgivable! It had to die!

Then, the demon erupted in fury, fists clenched, leaping into the air and slamming down on Lin Fan's head with a resounding boom. The immense force reverberated, creating a deafening, terrifying sound.

"Enough explosive power, but the force is a bit lacking," Lin Fan commented.

He was still reciting lines from movies, much like how he and Old Zhang learned things from watching the news.

The two-headed demon was shocked. Its full-power attack wasn't something anyone could withstand. What was going on? It was baffling, unbelievable.

"The match begins. May the best man win. I'll be careful."

Lin Fan now knew the rules of combat. He hadn't before, but he'd learned them from a movie last night.

He clenched his fist.

Charged his power.

And punched.

An ordinary punch, landing on the two-headed demon's abdomen with a dull thud.

The enraged demon's expression instantly shifted from fury to agony. Its four eyes bulged.

Then, the two-headed demon went flying, crashing through trees before landing motionless on the ground.

"I didn't even use much force, and you're already down. You're a bit weak."

This line, too, was from a movie, and Lin Fan felt it fit the situation perfectly.

Gao Xiong and the others were dumbfounded.

No way.

The demon that had wiped them out was defeated just like that?

Xu Zihao, hidden in the shadows, was speechless.

So strong.

That punch resembled the one that had shattered his precious sword.

Cluck! Cluck!

The demonic rooster crowed.

"My brethren, listen to me! Stay down! You might still survive!"

As a demonic hero, it couldn't bear to see its brethren suffer such harm.

Your pain is my pain.

The demonic rooster felt terrible.

But it couldn't plead for the two-headed demon. It was undercover and couldn't reveal its identity. Sometimes, for the greater good of the demonic cause, sacrificing a few brethren was necessary.

Of course, the demonic rooster constantly claimed to be undercover, but the crucial question remained: what exactly was its mission?

Well, that was a complex question. Even if asked directly, the demonic rooster might struggle to articulate an answer.

The two-headed demon lay on the ground, a bewildered expression on both its faces, drool dripping from its mouths.

Or rather, bitter bile.

Its abdomen had suffered a severe blow, nearly causing it to vomit bile.

"Traitor! Damned traitor!"

It now hated the demonic rooster, blaming it for bringing the human here.

Playing dead?

Impossible.

It would never feign defeat. It had to defend its status with absolute strength. It would show this human its true terror.

However, the current situation wasn't favorable.

"Amazing!"

Old Zhang clapped his hands in delight as he saw Lin Fan knock down the two-headed monster.

At that moment, the two-headed demon struggled to its feet, glaring at Lin Fan with hatred, wishing it could devour him whole.

The demonic rooster shook its head in resignation.

It truly couldn't save its suicidal brethren. This was deliberate self-destruction.

Cluck! Cluck!

Demonic Rooster: "Fool! You're no match for him! You better stay down! This is the final advice from your demonic hero!"

Two-headed Demon: "You traitor! Don't patronize me!"

"I'm not a traitor! Everything I do is for the future of our kind!"

"Hmph, traitor! A stronger being will deal with you!"

The demonic rooster was heartbroken, hanging its head low. Why wouldn't its brethren believe it? It longed to cry out, "I'm not a traitor! I do this for all of you!"

Indeed, a hero is always alone.

This path must be walked alone, with no one to help.

Lin Fan gestured towards the two-headed demon, then shouted and charged, leaping into the air and punching it in the face.

His blood boiled.

The real fight was about to begin.

He had been waiting for this.

The two-headed demon roared, punching at Lin Fan's face.

Contact!

Its longer arms reached Lin Fan's face first. Victory was certain! But quickly, things took a turn.

Lin Fan took the punch without flinching.

Boom!

The two-headed demon was completely stunned as its head was struck. Its body spun in the air, and then Lin Fan, expressionless, delivered a swift kick. Whoosh! The demon went flying.

"I accept your concession."

Lin Fan said calmly.

That's what they said in the movies after defeating an opponent.

"Old Zhang, how did I do?"

Lin Fan asked, turning around.

"Excellent!" Old Zhang cheered.

The two-headed demon lay motionless in the distance, its mind in turmoil.

It told itself,

I can't die here.

Then, while Lin Fan was distracted, it quickly fled towards the cave. There were important things there that couldn't fall into human hands.

Lin Fan didn't pursue the demon.

He was there to fight.

He had already won, but the fight wasn't very satisfying. It wasn't as intense as his previous battles.

Lin Fan approached Gao Xiong. "Let me take you to the hospital."

"No need," Gao Xiong said.

Lin Fan insisted, "Yes, you need to. Your injuries are severe. You'll die if you don't go. But don't worry, I'm very familiar with the hospital. They're very good and will definitely save you."

Gao Xiong's eyes darted around.

What was this guy up to?

They were members of an underground organization and couldn't casually appear in the city. What troubled him now was this guy's strength. Escaping would be difficult.

And their injuries were indeed serious.
