"Dr. Sutton, he's burning up!"
The nurse's sudden yell instantly distracted her from recalling where she had heard the voice before.
She rushed into the room to check his temperature and other vitals again, brows creasing slightly when she was done.
She stared at the number on the thermometer.
Everything else was normal with him, but his fever was suddenly spiking. For no reason.
"Dr. Sutton, should I call the hospital?" The nurse asked worriedly.
"Give me a moment." Kelsie calmly waved her aside.
This was something simple, yet difficult at the same time. He was supposed to be fine. It was just a simple fever.
So why was he burning up like this?
After thinking for a while, she mummed, "Ask his assistant if he has eaten yet."
Because she was in a hurry, she had left the door ajar and two men in the living room had also heard the nurse's yell and rushed in.
