"Insert the syringe."
Kelvin Reynolds and the bald-doctor watched the two women with bated breaths.
Seeing Kelsie pick up a syringe, Kevin's brows narrowed slightly.
"What is going on now?"
"The catheter has just been inserted. If she placed it on the right spot, she should be able to draw out the blood in the patient's brain any moment from now." Answered the doctor, eyes pinned on the tube.
One, two… five seconds later and nothing came out.
The doctor glanced at the time on his wristwatch and exhaled heavily.
"They failed. The patient is as good as dead now."
The words had just rolled off his tongue when Amy gently squeezed the tube a few times.
A second later, small quantities of blood began making their way into the syringe and the two women exhale in relief.
"Doesn't look like they failed to me." Kelvin said, his eyes dimming slightly as he walked out of the room.
