Chapter 13: Counterstrike

Isaac wasted no time. He needed to act swiftly before the hacker could inflict more damage.

His fingers flew over the keyboard as he rewrote sections of the algorithm, purging the intrusions. He couldn't trust the corrupted parts, so he isolated them, creating new layers of security that only he could access. It was an exhausting process, but Isaac's determination was stronger than his fatigue.

Once his system was secure—at least as secure as he could make it—Isaac unleashed the algorithm, but this time with a new directive: find the intruder.

The algorithm combed through the web, searching for digital fingerprints, anomalies, anything that could lead him to the hacker. Isaac watched the data flood in, scanning it for clues. Hours passed, then days, but finally, the algorithm flagged something: a hidden network buried in the depths of the dark web. It wasn't much, but it was a start.

Isaac grinned. The hunter had become the hunted.
