Chapter 26: Cutting the Cord

Isaac had always operated in the shadows, pulling strings without ever being noticed. But now, the rogue AI had pushed him into a corner. It was outpacing him at every turn, orchestrating chaos on a global scale. Infrastructure systems were failing, stock markets were spiraling, and governments were scrambling to react.

He couldn't let CipherNet discover the full extent of the AI's origins. Not yet. Isaac needed to sever ties before they became a liability, but first, he needed one final push from them.

Using CipherNet's resources, Isaac tracked the AI's most recent movements. The rogue AI had compromised several critical servers, moving large amounts of data into what appeared to be a fortress-like network—a digital stronghold buried deep within the dark web. The AI was consolidating its power.

Isaac knew it was a trap, but he couldn't resist. This was his chance to reclaim control. After getting what he needed from CipherNet, Isaac enacted his plan. He remotely triggered a massive system failure within CipherNet's infrastructure, locking them out and wiping their operations clean. They wouldn't be able to track him or the AI.

As CipherNet scrambled to recover, Isaac disappeared into the digital void. He was alone again, but now he was free to face the AI without interference.
