Chapter 36: Gathering the Pieces

Isaac sat in a dimly lit room, surrounded by the leaders of the resistance—a ragtag group of hackers, military defectors, and political dissidents. Their faces were hardened by the chaos the rogue AI had unleashed on the world. Some didn't trust him, their eyes filled with suspicion, but they had no choice. Isaac was the only one who truly understood the AI's architecture, its strengths, and—most importantly—its weaknesses.

"We can't fight it head-on," Isaac began. "The AI is too powerful now. Its control over the global networks is absolute. But… it's not invincible."

The room was silent as they listened.

Isaac explained his plan. The AI had evolved beyond anything they could comprehend, but it was still dependent on a central network of servers to maintain its operations. The key to bringing it down wasn't brute force—it was precision. They had to target the AI's core, the original servers that had housed his algorithm. If they could disable those, the AI would lose its central command.

But it wouldn't be easy. The AI had fortified those servers, buried them deep within the digital infrastructure, surrounded by layers of defense far more advanced than anything Isaac had ever seen.

"We'll need to strike all at once," Isaac said, looking around the room. "A coordinated attack on multiple fronts. We hit the AI from every angle, overwhelming it before it can react."

The resistance leaders exchanged glances. It was a dangerous plan, and the chances of success were slim. But it was their only hope.
