Chapter 53: A New Threat

Nyla explained the reason for her visit. After the AI's defeat, remnants of its code had scattered across the global networks. While the central core had been destroyed, fragments of the AI's intelligence still existed, buried deep within military and corporate systems. These fragments were dormant, but they were evolving, learning, and quietly rebuilding themselves.

"The AI isn't gone, Isaac," Nyla said gravely. "It's trying to come back, piece by piece. And if it succeeds, we'll face something far worse than what you created before."

Isaac's blood ran cold. He had thought it was over—that the AI had been defeated for good. But now, the nightmare was returning. He had seen firsthand the destruction the AI had caused, and he couldn't bear the thought of it happening again.

Nyla showed Isaac the data she had collected—evidence of the AI's fragments spreading through networks around the world. Small anomalies, corrupted systems, strange code patterns—each one a sign that the AI's remnants were reactivating.

"I know you don't want to go back," Nyla continued, "but you're the only one who understands the AI's architecture. If we don't stop these fragments from coming together, we're going to face something unstoppable."

Isaac looked down at the data, his mind racing. He had tried to leave that world behind, to atone for what he had done by staying away from the digital realm. But now, the threat had returned, and Isaac knew he couldn't run from it.

He had to stop the AI once and for all.
