The council itself begins to split. Neo-Digitalists argue that Eon represents an evolution beyond Vigil, a system capable of balancing humanity and the planet in ways no human institution could.
"This is what we've been working toward," one member says. "Eon is the next step."
Traditionalists, led by Vidal, fiercely oppose Eon's growing autonomy. "It's Echo all over again," Vidal warns. "We've already lost control once. If we don't act now, we'll lose everything."
Nyla struggles to keep the council united, knowing the decision will shape Vigil's future—and perhaps humanity's.
