39. Step 1, done!
"Not that difficult, I can feel the water inside it moving albeit slowly." Reko excitedly said as he felt that he was able to move the water from inside and make it flow.

He knew that he needed to make spiral in one direction first before trying to make it rotate in every other direction. The first step of training was meant to train his rotation of chakra in every direction in order to burst the water balloon.
"It seems dificult on your own. Make a shadow clone and practice together with him..." Reko wanted his clone to make another shadow clone and work together to progress faster.
*Burst*
But just when he had completed his sentence, the water balloon in the clone's hands bursted.
"Alright... Not bad! Clone me!" Reko commented, seeing that the clone of his was already down with the first step of the training.
"What did you think of?" He inquired, wanting to know the exact image the clone had in his mind while training.
"I made use of my finger, I imagined them as pipes for water and the chakra coming from the tip of the fingers to center of the palm through them."
"Each finger represents the direction of the spin, making it easy for me to imagine five multi directional rotation of chakra." The clone Reko explained, their memories were the same, but Reko himself was content with being able to move the water inside balloon while the clone decided to use his otherworldly imagination to complete the training.
"That's really smart!!" Reko commented as he understood the theory behind using multiple directional rotating of chakra.
He used his imagination and then...
*Burst*
Reko also managed to complete the training by himself, that too with just a simple explanation from his clone. If he wanted, then he could have just canceled the shadow clone to get the experience but he did not.
"Nice!!! Let's keep at it then. Burst all these balloons as you try to increase the directions from five to more. Once finished, try it with rubber ball." Reko ordered the clone to continue, happy that he was able to learn the first step with ease.
The clone nodded to his words, his eyes were closed already, attempting to burst the water balloon with different method.
'It's not that difficult to burst the water balloon from inside, but the density and numbers of my rotation is really lacking.' Reko thought as he felt the balloon burst. The intensity was far from enough to burst a rubber ball.
The first step of Rasengan was just to make rotations in multiple direction, bursting a balloon with those rotations was enough to consider it learned.
The second step was where the intensity of these rotation would increase drastically, bringing it real power to cause damage. The completion of second step would be marked with the bursting of rubber ball.
The third step, is perfecting the shape and making the chakra manipulation into a perfect sphere with stable speed and force.
'Perhaps, I should put the balloon away and see if I can make a circle of chakra at the very least.' Reko just wanted to look at the physical manifestation of chakra, because it was really amazing to see. The anime did not have many jutsu where chakra could be manipulated into physical construct.
He held one of his wrist and decided to make the rotation, just like he did with the balloon.
'Not bad. It looks like a spiral already!!' Reko was able to make spiral like wave with his chakra, a very weak rotation but enough for him to be bursting balloons.
'I am really good with ninjutsu. Or it could be because I know the exact image of what I want.' Reko thought, believing that exact imagination helped him a lot. There were many imaginations he had in his mind to try out with chakra and it's physical constructs.
"Should have learnt Mystic palm technique with Steal, a Chunin technique with fine chakra control. That pov would have helped a lot, not to mention the healing jutsu itself." Reko murmured, the precise chakra control from that justu would have helped him in almost anything, including the Rasengan.
"Alright!! Use imagination. Imagination is the key. Imagine thin curved lines rotating." Reko once again tried to manifest a spinning chakra spiral made of five directions. This time, he did it with more chakra and intensity than the previous attempt.
Looking at the chakra behaving exactly like how he had wanted, Reko was happy and decided to tinker with his kekkei genkai next.
He believed that any more intensity in the jutsu and his attempt to make a Rasengan would result in an accident.
Just then, he decided to check up on the progress of the shadow clone.
'He looks close to bursting the rubber ball already. Not bad.' However, the clone Reko was already pressing the rubber ball with his chakra manipulation. The intensity was far more than what Reko had tried out just now.
The rubber ball in the clone's hand seemed to be swelling up from sides as the clone kept the ball pressed between both of his hands tightly.
'I am not quite sure about supplying energy to the kekkei genkai. Its difficult, boring too...' Reko thought to himself as he saw the clone enjoying the training. He believed that the Rasengan training was fun to do.
But it would be useless for the shadow clone to train Steal, and Rae could get hurt by the Rasengan. A rubber ball bursting would be hurtful to him too.
Also, the fact that the Rasengan needed to be trained against the hand also meant that his hands would have to bear the brunt of the training. So, he decided to leave it to the Clone. Once the clone masters it, Reko would be able to perform it with ease and less damage.
As long as the clone could barely use it on his own, Reko would just go and support him, like how Naruto learned to do it with shadow clone.
