Isabel POV
The explosion rattled the walls, sending dust falling from the ceiling. Shouts echoed down the hallway, the chaos outside finally breaching the fragile barrier between us and Gideon's men.
Miguel was shouting orders, his voice cutting through the pandemonium. Marissa crouched near the window, rifle at the ready, scanning for targets.
But I couldn't focus on any of it. My attention was fixed on the now-blank screen where the video had played moments earlier.
"Isabel," Victor barked, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Get to the server room. We need eyes back on the system."
I hesitated.
"Now!" Victor barked at me.
I grabbed my laptop and sprinted down the hall. My hands moved automatically, reconnecting the network and bypassing the system lock.
As the system booted up, the video reappeared on the screen, this time playing automatically.
"Do you remember, Isabel? The project you worked on before you ran?"
