Letters and truths

At first, Adriana did not understand what she was reading.

Maybe she did, Maybe she just didn't want to believe it.

The sealed letters she had taken from the old woman's house.

The first question is, why were they sealed?

It meant the receiver didn't open it.

Right?

"To Lara," Was written at the top of each of the letters.

And at the bottom.

"With love, from Anne." She knew her mother was Anne.

So her mother wrote all the letters to someone named Lara.

What she couldn't understand was the contents of the letter.

No, it can't be.

It was odd.

It can't be.

Most of the letters were her mother complaining.

Not just any complaints. But about her father.

"No, it can't be," she pressed her forehead tightly.

For the third time that morning, she was going over the letters again. Even though she had read them the previous night.
