In an attempt to escape his hellish fate, Kai is forced to tread a grey area where there are few allies and all sides view him as a tool or an enemy, relying on the presence of one girl who chose him above all else to keep himself from falling into despair and insanity. 

Humanity is doomed unless he and others like himself rise up against the endless hordes of demons and find a way to close the gates of Hél, but is it worth the sacrifice? 

Will he willingly save the very people who turned their backs on him, or will he choose the ever-widening path of darkness and become what they all fear he will?

"Huh..." Kai mused, staring at the clouds passing by, so many things had just happened that he was taking his time tpoo process it properly-

"Is that all your brain can muster right now?" Shin shook his head, slapping his forehead again and huffing in frustration. "Do you have any idea what Unaga's loyalty means?" He asked.

"I don't really care," Kai chuckled shrugging nonchalantly with the intention to piss the man off.

"Hey..." Shin stared at him seriously. "I just had a thought," He looked from one side to the next and then checked his watch.

"You want to keep it a secret, typical authority figure hiding a fuckup caused by his own carelessness," Kai shrugged a second time, finding the dilemma Shin had put himself in humorous. "Don't worry," I have no intention of telling this to anyone, I already understand that I'm only alive because my presence does no harm."
