As Dragon's ship approached, the navy soldiers became exceedingly nervous, on high alert.
"Help me up," Garp said.
His voice lacked its usual strength, so much so that Bogard almost didn't hear it.
Garp could no longer stand. He could only lean against the broken mast, sitting as he watched Dragon approach.
"I might've used a little too much force," Chu Yang said, feeling somewhat apologetic. Beating up someone's father right in front of them—well, that was a bit much.
"I understand," Dragon nodded slightly. He knew Chu Yang had been put in a difficult position. If possible, he too would have preferred not to face his father so soon.
The moment Dragon stepped onto the warship's deck, the tension aboard reached its peak.
He slowly walked up to Garp.
Father and son locked eyes.
Yet neither spoke first.
The warship was so silent that even a pin drop could be heard. Only the crackling of flames echoed in their ears.
After about ten seconds, Dragon turned and walked away.
Heavy breaths broke the silence one after another.
Garp suddenly smiled with gratification. "Brat, you probably just wanted to prove that you were right..."
"As a total loser this time, I can't argue with him. I'll have to give him this victory."
"Ha ha ha ha..."
Shanks watched the scene with a complicated expression. Garp and Dragon reminded him of his late captain, Roger—the man who had raised him, a man who had been more like a father than a captain.
"I'm leaving," Chu Yang said softly.
"You should. With Garp here, naval reinforcements will probably arrive soon," Shanks nodded with a smile. "Don't worry about Wano; I'll be staying here for a while."
"Also, take Tom with you. His lifelong dream has been to see Pluton with his own eyes."
Meanwhile, Fisher Tiger led the fish-men in assembling the tracks, stretching from Wano's former site all the way to the ocean.
Long ago, Chu Yang had worked with Queen and Judge to build an enormous crane.
Now, they only needed to finish assembling the tracks so that Tiger could hoist Pluton onto them and transport it to the shore.
This had been the plan all along, but the arrival of the Red-Haired Pirates had delayed it.
As time ticked by, the fish-men worked up a sweat assembling the tracks. Some threw down their tools, shouting that they couldn't continue.
Originally, it would have taken a full day to complete the assembly, but now they had to finish in a much shorter time.
Tiger looked at his crewmates, his expression full of worry.
The Revolutionary Army was growing, and Chu Yang was becoming stronger, defeating formidable foes.
Only the Sun Pirates remained stagnant. If this continued, they would become dead weight.
They had all started with the same goal, but now, he was falling behind. That feeling was unbearable.
Allies and comrades should support each other, not just take without giving back.
If they couldn't even contribute now, what about the future?
When they attacked Mary Geoise, would he and the fish-men just stand by and cheer from the sidelines?
To Tiger, that thought was a brutal assault on his soul and conscience.
"Get up! If you can't even do this, then get the hell out of the Sun Pirates!"
"If any of you are fine with seeing your loved ones remain as slaves, then leave now! Don't waste our time!"
Jinbe lifted a section of the track, his face filled with fury as he roared, "From the day I set foot here, I was prepared to die! As long as we can overthrow the Celestial Dragons and end slavery, I'm ready to die right now!"
His thunderous voice silenced the fish-men, filling them with shame.
Wano's natural defenses and Chu Yang's strength had made them feel safe.
Over time, their resolve had been dulled.
People accustomed to peace find it hard to return to war.
"Tiger-san! We're here to help!"
"There's no way you guys can finish all this work alone!"
"Let us help! We've done this kind of thing plenty when Kaido was still around."
At some point, Wano's civilians had appeared in the town, picking up tools and helping the fish-men assemble the tracks.
Smiles spread across their faces. They seemed happy just to be of help.
Not long ago, these same people had been wary of the fish-men. Both sides had been on edge, eyeing each other with hostility.
But now, they had become friends and comrades.
"These people personally destroyed their own defenses, exposing themselves to the Celestial Dragons, all so that Pluton could be brought out smoothly. If we stop now, how can we face them?"
Tiger's eyes reddened as he questioned his crewmates.
Perhaps out of guilt, or perhaps because they now had something they wanted to protect, the fish-men reignited their fighting spirit!
The assembly speed skyrocketed.
Before long, Chu Yang arrived with Tom, Queen, and Judge.
Queen and Judge stayed behind to assist, while Chu Yang took Tom to the power room.
Tom eagerly examined the heart-shaped power source, his eyes filled with wonder.
After a while, he spoke gravely: "We need sunlight!"
Minute by minute, time passed.
The tracks were finally completed.
Queen lifted Pluton onto the rails.
The sky had begun to brighten.
Sunlight shone upon Pluton's hull.
The terrifying ancient weapon trembled, its power core roaring like a primordial beast awakening.
"It runs on solar power?" Chu Yang was surprised as he stared at the energy source.
He had considered many possibilities, but he hadn't expected Pluton's power source to be so... environmentally friendly.
"More precisely, the sun provides the ignition energy, setting off a reaction that generates nearly limitless power," Tom explained.
"That sounds like an upgraded version of controlled nuclear fusion..."
Chu Yang smacked his lips, suddenly feeling thirsty. If he could unravel Pluton's energy source, his technological advancements would skyrocket.
In the Marvel world, this knowledge wouldn't just upgrade Iron Man's armor by several generations—it could create an endless army of machines.
With power restored, Pluton was like a waking monster, its interior slowly coming to life.
"We can now head to the control room and sail Pluton away," Tom reminded Chu Yang. "But it's not easy to pilot—it requires a skilled helmsman."
That role was obviously meant for Jinbe!
The fish-men were full of talent, from shipbuilders to skilled navigators.
Chu Yang first took Tom to the control room, then called Jinbe to steer the ship.
The Revolutionary Army, Sun Pirates, Queen, and Judge all boarded in succession.
Kozuki Hiyori remained behind, but the samurai boarded.
Chu Yang tried to persuade them to stay, but they insisted—this was their only chance to repay their debt.
Besides, Wano was under the protection of the Red-Haired Pirates.
Though they didn't trust pirates, they trusted Chu Yang.
Unable to argue with their stubbornness, Chu Yang took them along. Samurai would be a great asset in the battle against Mary Geoise.
Once everyone was aboard, Jinbe activated Pluton at Chu Yang's signal.
The ship surged forward along the rails, rapidly gaining speed.
"A few modifications, and this could be a land, sea, and air aircraft carrier," Chu Yang mused, awed by Pluton's power. Images of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicarriers flashed through his mind.
That could work.
A sudden airborne strike on Mary Geoise would scare the Celestial Dragons out of their wits.
Chu Yang shared his idea with Tom. After a long pause, Tom nodded. "In theory, it's possible."
"I checked Pluton's mechanisms earlier. It has short-term flight capabilities."
"Calling it 'flight' might be inaccurate—it generates a massive burst of thrust to launch itself to a target location."
Chu Yang pondered.
Wasn't that basically the "Coup de Burst" on the Sunny?
So that's where Franky got the idea...
As they spoke, Pluton neared the coastline.
Shanks watched the legendary warship with his own eyes.
"So this is the ancient weapon Pluton... Can it truly rival the gods?" he murmured.
The Red-Haired Pirates and the navy aboard the Dog-Head Warship all stood in stunned silence as Pluton thundered off the land and into the sea.
Waves engulfed the shore.
Pluton sailed past the Dog-Head Warship, its enormous hull casting a shadow over the deck.
For a moment, it felt as though a monster had swallowed the sunlight.
The marines stood frozen in the darkness, staring in terror at the legendary weapon.
"Compared to Pluton, our warships are mere toys," Bogard muttered, utterly drained. He had no idea how the navy could possibly counter this colossal behemoth.
Normal warship cannons wouldn't even leave a dent in those massive, menacing gun ports—each one capable of annihilating an entire fleet with a single shot.
Even as Pluton disappeared into the distance, the marines remained rooted in place, staring blankly at the horizon.
