Chapter 207: Let Freedom Unfold!

"Rabbit Escape!"

As soon as the spiky-haired boy spoke, shadows spread out beneath his feet, and countless fluffy white rabbits emerged from the darkness, surging forward like a wave toward the deep green figure.

"Whoa, so many rabbits." Choso curiously watched the swarm of small, seemingly harmless creatures approaching, wondering what they could possibly do to him.

The wave of rabbits engulfed him, surrounding him completely. All he could see were red-eyed, white-furred bunnies.

Megumi watched Choso get swallowed by the swarm of rabbits. Seeing that there was no reaction from him, he quickly changed his hand signs and summoned another shikigami.

"Nue!"

With a sharp screech, the owl-like shikigami shot out from the shadows beneath Megumi, flying straight toward Kechizu above the canyon.

Meanwhile, Choso, still trapped in the sea of rabbits, scratched his head in confusion. The rabbits weren't attacking him at all.

"That's it? This isn't fun at all."

Just as he finished mumbling, all the rabbits suddenly dissolved into inky black shadows that poured over him like spilled ink.

A fist coated in cursed energy tore through the darkness, slamming hard into Choso's head and sending him rolling backward.

Megumi charged forward, using the moment when Rabbit Escape disappeared to launch his attack.

Choso, dazed from the punch, was momentarily stunned, unable to grasp what had just happened.

In that brief instant, Megumi's leg whipped through the air and struck him right in the head, making him stumble.

Blow after blow rained down on him—each strike packed with cursed energy. Once caught in Megumi's rhythm, Choso couldn't even fight back.

But as a special-grade Cursed Womb: Death Painting, Choso's body was far tougher than normal. Even after taking so many direct hits, he still looked like he could keep going.

He finally reacted, puffing up his cheeks and spitting out a pillar of blood.

But right in front of Blood-Painted, Fushiguro Megumi suddenly dropped straight down as if he had stepped off a cliff, vanishing from Blood-Painted's sight.

"Huh?"

Seeing his opponent disappear in an instant, Blood-Painted froze in confusion and turned his head toward his brother.

Choso was locked in a fierce battle with Itadori Yuji. His Wing King technique gave him an incredible attack range—his blood wings, extending from the large eyes on his back, constantly shifted between whips and spikes, striking at Itadori Yuji from every angle.

One hit. That's all it would take to end the fight.

Itadori Yuji didn't know the details of Choso's technique, but it wasn't hard to guess that getting his body covered in that blood would be really bad. So he kept dodging nonstop.

Sharp blood spikes slammed into the ground behind him, punching small holes into the pavement. Itadori weaved through them, narrowly avoiding each strike, looking a little worse for wear.

The piercing cry of a hawk rang through the night sky. The pink-haired boy paused for a moment, then smirked slightly. He suddenly spun around and charged straight at Choso.

That was the signal—Fushiguro Megumi had launched his counterattack.

A flash of purple lightning rained down, striking the blood spikes and immediately conducting through the blood.

"What!?"

Choso's body stiffened for a split second, and the blood wings on his back collapsed.

When he looked up, the spiky-haired boy—who should have still been fighting his little brother—had somehow appeared on top of the owl Shikigami, having teleported up from the canyon floor.

But what was even stranger was that after releasing the lightning, the owl Shikigami transformed into a dark shadow shaped like a bird of prey.

The Ten Shadows Technique summons ten different Shikigami. If a Shikigami is completely destroyed, it can never be summoned again, and its power is inherited by the remaining Shikigami.

However, as long as the full technique isn't deployed, a damaged Shikigami can still be resummoned. The same applies to extended variations of the technique.

Unfully summoned Shikigami appear as shadowy figures. Using this, Fushiguro Megumi had dived into the shadow at his feet and emerged from the shadowy form of Nue.

Choso hurriedly tried to reform his blood wings. The crimson energy surged like boiling liquid, taking shape into countless spikes that shot upward.

Fushiguro Megumi leaped off the owl Shikigami, dodging the blood spikes mid-air. As he spun in the air, he delivered a powerful spinning kick straight to Choso's thick neck, sending him crashing to the ground.

"Damn it!"

Before Choso could even finish shouting, Itadori Yuji had already charged forward. With laser-sharp focus, he threw a punch.

His fist, packed with cursed energy, smashed directly into Choso's face, crushing his nose inward and sending him flying.

"Big bro!"

Blood-Painted screamed from the canyon below—only to see the shadowy owl Shikigami dive straight toward him.

He swung his fist in rage, but it was like punching a wave of water—the attack passed right through the owl Shikigami.

The shadow, like spilled ink, poured behind Blood-Painted. Then, like a ghost, Fushiguro Megumi emerged from the darkness.

In his hand was a curved blade with a jet-black blade. Under the moonlight, its edge gleamed with an icy, deadly light.

Sensing the presence behind him, Blood-Painted spun around in shock and anger—only to see the spiky-haired boy grinning wildly in his hollow eyes.

Let your imagination run free.

Fushiguro Megumi's grin grew even more intense. His entire body burned with cursed energy, his blood boiling as his power surged to its peak.

Even freer!

The long blade in his hand slashed down, carving a deep, bloody wound across Blood-Painted's back.

"AAARGH!"

Blood-Painted let out a wailing scream.

"Big bro!"

"Little bro!"

Mahito, who had been sent flying by Itadori Yuji, had just steadied himself when he heard his younger brother's scream. Without hesitation, he rushed to the edge of the road and looked down into the canyon.

The sight of Fushiguro Megumi slashing at Choso made Mahito's eyes widen in rage.

Itadori Yuji charged at him, but Mahito, furious, dodged his punch and countered with a punch of his own, knocking Itadori back before flipping over and leaping off the highway.

However, mid-air, a sticky tongue suddenly wrapped around him. After spinning him in a full circle, it forcefully flung him toward Choso.

The two brothers crashed into each other but quickly shifted to a back-to-back stance, ready to face their enemy.

Itadori Yuji also leaped into the canyon, charging toward Choso, who was facing him. Meanwhile, a pure white rabbit suddenly jumped in front of Mahito. On edge, he instinctively swung his fist, instantly smashing it into pieces. But in the next moment, Fushiguro Megumi was already in front of him.

Cursed energy flared up around his fist like flames, while the dark blade in his hand shimmered with a bright blue light.

In the next instant, a fist struck forward, and a blade stabbed through.

A burst of twisted, black lightning exploded in all directions!
