Chapter 211: Who Exactly Are You?

"Now then, as a token of gratitude… could you die for me?"

The words came out in a gentle tone from the man with the bun hairstyle, yet they sent a chill down Hikigaya Hachiman's spine. A piercing coldness crawled up his back, freezing him in place.

Kenjaku's face held a faint, amused smile, but the aura he gave off was like a venomous snake, coiled and ready to strike.

This man wasn't an ally—he was an enemy!

Even though he was just standing there with his arms folded, the pressure he exuded far surpassed that of the gargoyle curse spirit from earlier. It was even greater than the special-grade octopus curse spirit he had faced in Shinjuku.

Hikigaya Hachiman let out a bitter smile. He couldn't even summon the will to resist.

He never thought he would die not at the hands of a cursed spirit, but at the hands of a sorcerer who suddenly appeared.

What terrible luck.

Seeing him give up so easily, Kenjaku raised an eyebrow in mild surprise. "It's rare to see someone surrender this quickly. Are you really a Jujutsu High student?"

"Not really." Hachiman slumped his shoulders. "I hate pain, so if you're gonna do it, make it quick."

"No problem."

Kenjaku nodded with a smile and was just about to make his move when he suddenly froze.

His expression twisted, his smile turning into a grimace.

Why was Gojo Satoru here?!

"You guys are really lucky."

There was no time to make a move. Kenjaku gritted his teeth as a black whirlpool appeared behind him.

A withered hand reached out from the whirlpool, grabbed the collar of his clothes, and yanked him inside.

The whirlpool slowly closed, and the man's figure vanished.

Hikigaya Hachiman, who had no idea what had just happened, held his breath, afraid to make a sound. A few moments later, a figure suddenly began descending from above.

"Yo, looks like you're fine. That's a relief."

A familiar, carefree voice came from above the dead-fish-eyed boy's head.

Hachiman froze for a moment. After letting out a heavy sigh, he weakly lifted his head and looked at the white-haired man who had just landed from the sky.

"Gojo-sensei, you got here just in time."

"There was a guy just now—"

Hikigaya Hachiman was about to explain about the mysterious man who had appeared and disappeared so suddenly, but he was cut off.

"I know."

Gojo Satoru's voice became unusually deep.

He landed on the ground, picked up Yoshino Junpei, who was lying in the ruined shrine, and handed him over to Hikigaya Hachiman. Then, he patted Hachiman's shoulder and said, "Take him down first. Ijichi and the others are already on their way."

"Oh."

The sharp and sensitive dead-fish-eyed boy quickly noticed that something seemed off about Gojo Satoru's mood.

He didn't say anything more and carried the unconscious Yoshino Junpei away.

After watching the two leave, Gojo Satoru turned around. His expression had darkened completely.

He reached up and removed the blindfold from his face, revealing his dazzling six eyes, glowing with a bright blue light.

Everything around him was laid bare before those eyes.

"So... who are you?"

He murmured softly as he stared at the lingering traces of cursed energy—an energy he had once been all too familiar with and had never forgotten.

...

As Hikigaya Hachiman carried Yoshino Junpei down the stone steps to the familiar village road, a black sedan just happened to come into view.

The car stopped in front of him, and Ijichi Kiyotaka quickly opened the door, taking the unconscious Yoshino Junpei from his arms.

"Yoshino-kun, what happened to him?"

"He's unconscious from his injuries, but he should be fine... Probably just broke two or three ribs," Hikigaya Hachiman said tiredly.

After placing Yoshino Junpei in the back seat, Ijichi Kiyotaka turned back to him. "I'll take you both back to Jujutsu High right away. Shoko-san will take care of you."

"I didn't expect to see you here too."

Hikigaya Hachiman looked at the black-haired girl in front of him with some surprise. It was his first time seeing Gojo Satoru acting together with others.

"We ran into Gojo-sensei on the way," Yukinoshita Yukino explained. "Good thing you're not dead."

"Is that so? Then I guess we really were lucky."

Hikigaya Hachiman sighed. If Yukinoshita had come alone, she probably wouldn't have been able to scare off that mysterious man.

Gojo Satoru, of course, didn't need to wait for them. Leaving him behind, the group set off on their way back.

On the road, Hikigaya Hachiman explained to Ijichi Kiyotaka and Yukinoshita Yukino about the mysterious man who had appeared and then fled after seeing Gojo Satoru.

"Are you sure... the technique that man used was Cursed Spirit Manipulation?"

Hearing this, Ijichi Kiyotaka's hands suddenly trembled on the steering wheel, nearly driving the car into the roadside ditch.

"Uh… That's what he said. It was like the cursed spirit was absorbed, turned into a glowing orb, and then swallowed by him."

Hikigaya Hachiman didn't understand why Ijichi was so shaken and asked curiously, "What's wrong with that technique?"

Ijichi Kiyotaka swallowed hard and tried to steady his voice, but there was still a slight tremble.

"It's not just about the technique. Based on your description of that man… there's only one person who fits."

"Geto Suguru. One of Japan's four Special-Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers. But in his third year at Jujutsu High, he defected. The first Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Shinjuku was his doing."

"But that day… Geto Suguru was killed by a first-year student, Okkotsu Yuta."

"If Geto Suguru is still alive… then the second Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Shinjuku might have been his work too."

There were other thoughts Ijichi Kiyotaka didn't dare voice.

It was Gojo-sensei who had confirmed Geto Suguru's death. Gojo-sensei had also handled his body.

But if Geto was still alive…

Did that mean Gojo-sensei had betrayed them and joined the curse users?

This thought was too terrifying. Ijichi Kiyotaka could only bury it deep in his heart.

Hearing that the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Shinjuku might have been orchestrated by a still-living Geto Suguru, Yukinoshita Yukino, sitting in the front passenger seat, suddenly clenched her fists.

Just yesterday, she had been thinking about interrogating the enemies they encountered at the Eighty-Eight Bridges to gather information on the mastermind behind the Shinjuku Hyakki Yagyō. But today, she had already learned the culprit's name.

Special grade... huh?

It seemed she needed to reach that level as soon as possible. At the very least, she had to master a fully developed Domain Expansion.

She had already perfected her Innate Technique, Kamado. What she lacked now was Barrier Techniques.

As long as she completed her knowledge of Barrier Techniques at the academy, she should be able to use a closed-form version of Fushuma Kamado without any issues.

As for the open-form Domain mastered by Hayashizaki, that wasn't something Yukinoshita Yukino could even consider right now.

Unlike Yukinoshita Yukino, Hikigaya Hachiman wasn't thinking that far ahead.

"Sigh... After getting my injuries treated, I still have to deal with the cultural festival." The dead-eyed boy slumped at the thought of finishing his work as a sorcerer only to return to his duties as the executive committee chairman.

"Luckily, it's only one day's worth of work. It shouldn't be too bad if I hurry up and finish it after I get back."

"What are you talking about?" Yukinoshita Yukino shot him a surprised look. "You and Yoshino have been trapped inside the barrier for two days already. Including recovery time after treatment, that's at least three days gone."

"Huh?"

Hikigaya Hachiman froze on the spot.
