CONSCIOUS

Just as zaryaab's lips lifted in an amused smile at batool's dazed look. Batool's stomach suddenly growled in hunger immediately turning her dazed look into embarrassed one as she came out of her thoughts.

Zaryaab's amused smile become more amused at this he suddenly put on a smug expression and said "i have a chocolate bar on me... Do you want to eat it, miss." batool's face turned more embarrassed as he offered her chocolate she wanted to deny it but she had already lost her face when her stomach growled.

She silently took the chocolate and changed the topic to "why did you slow down the car" this time her gaze weren't on him but on her own feets, she slowly slowly unwrapped the chocolate and started biting on it.

"oh well... We've almost reached there... And also while looking at you I didn't want to crash our car... if we crashed I wouldn't have the second chance to look at you, miss" his tone was intimate but there was another meaning behind it, no human could tell from his ambiguous tone if he was only being intimate or thinking about something else.

Batool's cheeks heated up she herself didn't know what was happening to her she wanted to deny his intimate tone but at the same time she did not want to, it was a strange feeling that she was experiencing the first time, therefore who would have known what it was...

Batool looked away placing her gaze on the window not answering or even looking at him again she was going to be a married woman soon so of course she did not want to be called a cheater...and it was only a temporary admiring it was nothing else she convinced herself.

Zaryaab knew it he definitely knew it at a glance what this girl was feeling but he did not want to expose her he wanted to see if this girl would be the same and throw herself at him like all those other women, if she didn't that would be good but she did that this woman wasn't worth his good buddy.

He remained calm staring at her for sometime but after seeing no sign of her looking at him he grinned and turned towards the front and started the car again while glancing at her time to time through the mirror, he felt quite satisfied after seeing she did not spare him another glance.

Meanwhile batool was able to hear her own heartbeat in her ears, no matter how much her heart wanted to glance at him or hear his deep and memorizing voice she didn't turn around or rather she had some conscious about her getting married and having a fiance... She was conscious enough to give her brain a reality check.

She wasn't the cheating type or like those foolish people that run away from home leaving everything and everyone in their life behind without caring about those people that worried for them... Batool was getting married so she was going to try gaining favor with her soon-to-be-husband rather than being foolish and getting involved with someone else just before her marriage.

As batool looked out of the window she had many thoughts, she thought about what was happening and how fast everything was happening she wanted to cry with bitterness but at the same time she didn't have tears to cry lol she wanted someone to show her some pity but there was no one to do so.

While she was thinking, they had already reached the mansion's back gate, Unnoticeably Zaryaab wore a mask and while showing a card to the bodyguard he hid his eyes... The bodyguard glanced at the bride in the back seat and immediately opened the gate and zaryaab drove in, batool also noticed it and immediately steadied her appearance she saw her lots of realatives standing there with some unknown peoples they all had worried expressions that relieved after seeing the car she was sitting in, just as batool's all focus was on her relatives suddenly zaryaab spoke up "i guess it's time to say farewell, mam... I'll see you later~" zaryaab's tone was somewhat intimate but also ambiguous, before batool could ask what he was talking about... The car's door suddenly opened and her aunt immediately grabbed her wrist and asked "oh my god..batool I was so worried and nervous when your car didn't follow us.. Thank god you're here finally" Aiza hugged batool and immediately all batool's attention went to her realatives that guided her out and expressed their worries.

They told batool how everyone was really worried and how they were searching for her for a long time they looked really exhausted, the wedding hadn't started yet everyone was tired.

But again who's fault it was? Driver's? Her.... Or her auntie's.

Suddenly batool eyes fell on a old couple they were standing and watching her every move, observing her every expression and from the looks of their clothes she could they weren't some ordinary people she could just ignore, the old man had black and white hair his eyes were Grey and imposing while the old woman had brown hair and deep brown eyes they matched... her eyes held a warmth batool had never seen before, as if noticing batool's gaze on the elderly couple... Aiza immediately introduced "this is Mr and Mrs-shah your soon-to-be-husband's grandfather and grandmother", just as expected batool stomach dropped her face turned a little bit pale she was nervous as hell not knowing how they'll behave with a girl who just replaced their soon-to-be-daughter-in-law and that too whom they had choosen themselves as expected shiza was always everyone's favorite wherever she went.

"a_aslam-o-alaikum... Grandma a-and.. Grandpa" batool greeted she didn't know how they'll react after seeing her, nevertheless she did what was polite, the old woman smiled at batool her beautiful face slightly wrinkled as the old woman also nodded while the old man's face slightly softened he nodded at batool and said "WaAlaikum-aslam...".

Suddenly everything went silent as everyone else looked akward not knowing what to do or say even the old couple felt akward...and batool herself couldn't think of anything else to say to break the silence, but aiza as a businesswoman immediately took the matter in her hands and broke the silence "the guests are really restless...we've made them wait for a long time shouldn't we get going now?" she said as a matter of fact.

Finally the akward silence was broken as Aiza spoke, the elderly couple nodded as they all walked the bride to the stylist room to have her make up done... Her appearance had lost quite the charm so of course they had to fix it.

Meanwhile zaryaab had long driven away with a little interest in his mind about this bride... But again that was not enough to intrigue him, after all he wasn't just an ordinary man.

Irtaza was sitting in the stylist room, he talked on the phone with different people again and again as he looked at his watch he realized it was already two hours now since zaryaab left yet there was no sign of his bride arriving any time soon, he sighed already done with everything.

Irtaza for the last time was going to dial his phone but suddenly the door burst open and Hassan rushed in... "Brother what are you doing? Are you still on the phone? The bride has arrived and you're still ON THE PHONE?... Brother why are you on the phone? You should be at the wedding hall agreeing to your nikkah not here using phone to contact some random dudes" Hassan talked so fast that irtaza had a hard time understanding his nonsense.

"can you speak a bit more humanly?" Irtaza glared at Hassan, Hassan gulped down all the words he was going to say, after seeing irtaza's glare, he calm down and lowered his gaze and whispered to himself "sorry... Brother.. I just came to inform you about your bride's arrival... And... And they're taking her to the hall now" but more like he whinned to himself.

For a sec there was surprise in irtaza's eyes hearing this but it went away as soon as it came, irtaza's expression were calm as he looked at him "I'll be there in a minute" Hassan nodded with a pout and walked out of there but not before one last time looking at irtaza with a wronged expression, yup he was childish... But again it was only with his brother and no one, after all it was his brother who had raised him since childhood... He had been called childman before but it didn't have any affect on him after all almost every younger sibling relies on their older sibling so what part of him was wrong by doing the same.

Irtaza felt a pang of guilt in him seeing his younger brother's wronged expression after all he was his soft spot, he had raised him for ten years like his own child so it was normal for him to feel guilty for his younger brother, for being cold with him without reason...

and just like this the older brother forget his younger sibling's yelling at him.
