'Hehehe, I think I can work with this'
I thought as I looked at the description of the skills, the barrier is good during fights and everything, but the [Manifestation] is by far the most useful. Even though it is the most volatile since I don't know how it would work.
At least this way I will have a way to communicate more directly, and having an idea of what I would be like my Believers could create statues, drawings and symbols, making it easier to spread the religion throughout the world. At least I hope so.
Shortly after receiving the rewards another sign [!] appeared, indicating right at the two people who were being stoned.
Well, it's not surprising honestly, if lightning bolts suddenly struck an angry crowd after they were throwing stones at another person who seemed to be preparing to do something just before it happened, it's obvious who they would think was responsible, right?
Returning to the square, I could see the man in front of the young woman this time. In general, he seemed to be considerably larger than most of the other villagers, not just on the sides. And just like the others, he also seemed confused by what had happened or by the way the villagers were reacting, if I was interpreting the emojis correctly.
The other villagers, in turn, were already leaving their confusion and astonishment aside and returning to anger, with several picking up weapons like axes and hoes and heading towards them, but slowly. I could send another lightning bolt in front of them, but that could end up hitting both of them, in addition to hitting more people who have nothing to do with it, like children.
Yes, there are children in the middle of this mess. I only realized this a little after the first bolts hit the crowd.
Whatever, now what's the best way to deal with them?
First option: use the shield to prevent them from taking damage and then use lightning without mercy, not caring who was hit, which would be interesting.
Second option: use Punishment, specifically on the people who seemed eager to attack them, which would be a bit more work, although probably the most efficient (maybe).
And Third option: use [Manifestation] and see what it could do, which if my guess is right will still be able to cause both psychological and physical impact.
....
....
Well, let's go with the third one, why?
Nothing special, I just want to see how this [Manifestation] works, and if it doesn't act the way I imagined, I'll just go back to the first option.
****************************
"What did you do, you freak!!!"
"How could you do something like that!!!?"
"A demon... That's a demon in the form of a person!!! That's why he was so sinister!!!"
Several screams of anger and fear came from the crowd at once, but even if they asked me (accused me in this case) what had happened, I couldn't give any answer. I was also atomic with the lightning coming out of nowhere and people falling with black veins.
From what my mother had said with the knowledge my damn father had given her, this kind of thing could only be the work of magic. But that wouldn't make sense, first the person responsible would have to be constantly watching the place where they were going to hit, second only one magic could be cast at a time, be it lightning or pain magic.
From what my damn father said, some ancient spellcasters could cast more than one spell at a time, but those were scarce and would need some kind of circle or something made before to "aim better". He was sure that no one had placed any kind of circle anywhere in the square, much less multiple circles.
"He didn't do anything, please stop this!"
"Shut up!!! You must be another kind of demon too!!!!"
"Yes, that's the only way to forever differentiate this aberration!!!"
"Her parents also died in a strange way. She could be a witch who changed him and asked for help from this demon!!!!!"
""Yeaahhhh!!!!!!!"""
Insanity, stupidity or maybe fear?
I've never been able to say which emotion prevailed in these people, but whatever it was, it never ceases to amaze me. Her parents died in an accident with a poorly made wagon and everyone lynched the maker and threw the poor raggedy guy into the forest. But how could he do anything decent if everything of even the slightest quality was kept under lock and key with the old village leader.
'Who certainly wouldn't let her little son's death go unpunished. Whether we were to blame or not, not that it would make any difference.'
I thought as I looked at the contorted body, still with an expression of agony and blood coming out of its eyes, lying on the ground not far from us.
Before any of the boldest, or most idiotic, could take another step and get within my reach, something else illogical happened.
In the sky above us, some points of golden light began to shine and quickly condense into a ball, moments later this ball inflated and became as big as me. The next moment the ball of golden light seemed to flatten and stretch, and seconds later what sonoderis described as a giant golden hand was above all of us.
Just like a few minutes before (or even hours considering the position of the sun) everyone was stunned by this, no one knew what to do: stay here, run away, attack the hand with whatever they could find or attack us.
I could see all these options coming and going in the eyes of practically everyone in front of me, but before they could do anything the hand of heaven moved down, staying a little to my left and...
It waved.
**********************
Wave.
Seriously you can't do anything else?!
No, I know it's only a level 1 skill, but wave?!
'What's up?!!!, there's nothing else it can do?!'
I thought, clicking on the hand slightly larger than the man in the middle of the square.
As soon as I clicked on the manifestation in the skills tab, some notifications appeared.
[Manifestation activated.
Please select the form you want to appear:
– Physical manifestation X
– Spiritual manifestation
– Illusory manifestation]
It makes sense that I "couldn't manifest myself physically", nor would I have a body for that. So it would have to be spiritual or illusory.
I'm just playing it safe, but [spiritual manifestation] would probably be one that could enter dreams, right, like something invisible and that doesn't ask to be touched or seen, but felt more than anything.
While the illusory would be something that could be seen but not felt or interacted with, like a hologram?
....
I'm doing that thing where I think too much about the mechanism instead of just testing and leaving the rest to fate, right?
....
Okay, whatever, I still think it's not all bad considering how NPCs react (usually)... I also feel like I've said this many times.
Aaaaaaahhhhhh ok, moving on.
I selected [illusory manifestation] and then a small list appeared.
[Select manifestation mode:
– Total X
– Partial X
– Fragment]
There's only one option, so it's just that.
[Selected manifestation mode: Fragment.
Select fragment to manifest:
– Eye
– Nose
– Ear
– Mouth
– Hand
– Foot]
....

.....
WHAT THE ********** !!!!!!!!!
I'm not the only one who thinks these options are terrible, right?!
