Unexpected Visitor (II)

"Mrs. Grace Parker, you have some explaining to do."

His voice was just as enchanting as ever, pulling her deeper into the trance that had taken over her. Seeing him from this close after such a long time, Grace wasn't sure how to feel.

But it would be a lie if she said that she didn't feel any relief and also a tiny bit of happiness after seeing him. After all, he was among those few people in her life toward whom she felt apologetic.

Taking in a deep breath, she tried to pull herself together and moved to step away from the door and him. But it wasn't that easy to get away from him, especially when he didn't want to let her go.

To keep her in place, he wrapped one of his hands around her waist and pressed her further against the door, stepping a little closer to remove that small gap between their bodies. This time, there was merely a breath of space separating their bodies and this realization left her stunned and anxious.
