Cheat Skills??

My face sank into the plush softness of an oversized bed.. Blinking as my eyes adjusted, I stretched out my arms. The room came into focus—it was immense, far larger than anything I'd ever seen. Massive wooden furniture intricately carved with swirling dragon motifs that seemed to move when you looked closely. A gigantic mirror stood tall against one wall, its ornate golden frame.

As I scanned the room, my eyes landed on large stuffed animals scattered everywhere—some were shaped like animals and some that I have never seen before. Even in a new world, you can't run away from the soft plushiness of teddy bears. "I wonder, does my mother have any? I guess, this was my room." I didn't even notice when Thing 1 and Thing 2 carried me here. That bath was just so relaxing.

"Alright, enough lazing around," I muttered. Time to get started.

"Ok, little limbs, let's try to move."

I pushed myself up, expecting some newborn clumsiness, but surprisingly, standing wasn't difficult.

"Walking, though? Lets give it a try"

I cautiously took a step... then another... and another.

"I can walk already? Dragons do grow up fast, I thought to myself.

Taking my time, I wandered around the room, grabbing a plush toy as I plopped down in front of the massive mirror, towering twenty times my size. Finally, I could get a good look at myself: silver scales that shimmered in the fading sunlight streaming through the window, silver hair streaked with red, and eyes that were a striking mix of deep blue and gold.

A big grin spread across my face. "I guess I am a cute little dragon," I try to wink at myself but fail miserably.

"Now, for the big reveal: my cheat system!" I clenched my fists in excitement. All those Isekai novels I'd read were finally going to come in handy.

"STATUS!!"

...Nothing.

"INFO!!"

…Silence.

"SYSTEM!!"

...Still nothing.

Ok..ok, I got it... I closed my eyes. Ok, focus, Luna; I got to have some type of cheating ability.

There I can feel something, as I hold my hands up. May the force be with me!!

...…..

Absolutely nothing.

I jumped back onto the bed with a groan. If I could scream, I would. No cheat skills? This couldn't be it. There had to be something.

Clashing all my thoughts together, it finally hit me.

"The egg… When I first broke through, the cool breeze I felt—was it mana? I remember the goddess mentioning that the dragon soul is created when mana enters. Does that mean that all living things are created through mana?... anyway. Let's give it a try."

I sat back up, determination flickering in my chest. Taking a deep breath, I focused, closing my eyes. I slowed my breathing, sinking deeper into my thoughts. Gradually, like a feather in the wind, I descended into a soothing darkness. It felt like the void I'd spent 25 years in—calm, peaceful, and comforting.

When I opened my eyes again, I was no longer in my room. I stood on an endless expanse of water, stretching as far as the eye could see, perfectly still beneath me. Above, the night sky is dotted with countless stars, the only source of light being the soft, pale blue glow that reflects off the water's surface. Instinctively, I knew it was the moon.

"Is this my sea of consciousness? I knew reading all those cultivation novels would pay off."

A cool breeze stirred the stillness, brushing against my scales like a soft whisper, as though it beckoned me to follow. It felt familiar. Without thinking, I began to walk forward, each step causing gentle ripples to spread across the water. The breeze, light and soothing, danced around me, and as it did, I noticed—a faint glow beneath me, flickering against the surface.

Glancing down, I caught my reflection staring back at me, shimmering in the moonlight. My scales were now glowing faintly.

"I know that shine with the light, but glowing that is something new"

That's when I realized—The cool breeze I felt was not so simple. I was absorbing mana.

It was subtle at first, just a gentle sensation, but the longer I walked, the more it became apparent. The breeze, the glow, the tug to move forward—it was all connected. The mana flowed through the air, filling me and coursing through my body like it belonged. The sensation was familiar and comforting, like when I first felt it inside the egg.

"I paused, wondering just how much mana I could absorb." I wasn't sure, but I didn't want to find out just yet.

I stopped walking, closed my eyes, and focused on my breathing, allowing it to return to its natural rhythm. Slowly, the feeling of mana flowing through me began to ease, and when I finally opened my eyes again, the vast ocean, the stars, and the moon had disappeared.

Taking a deep breath, I felt absolutely ecstatic. Alright kingdom I am ready for the announcement. I feel like I can tackle the world right now. I jumped off the bed headed to the window, but as I passed the mirror, I did a double-take.

Have I grown? My claws were longer, once nubs for horns, now are white that fade into a deep blue at the tip, extending at least 2 inches, and my eyes were glowing... . "GLOWING!!"

"Why are my eyes glowing?" I stared in the mirror, trying to stay calm.

It definitely has something to do with the mana I absorb; I just know it. That's right, when I first absorbed mana, it concentrated itself in the center of my body. So that means that it can be moved. Just a moment ago I didn't feel it in the center but everywhere around me.

So maybe if I focus, I can move the it from my eyes and back into the center.

I sat down on my hind legs, staring intently into the mirror, focusing on my eyes, picturing the mana moving from my eyes and to the center of my body.

The glow started to fade as I concentrated. "Keep focusing" as the glow continued to fade. There was another change that I noticed. My pupils were no longer a vertical slit but the shape of a star.

Sighing, I muttered, "Father was right. I'm going to be a troublemaker. I hatched early, I can absorb mana, and now I have an entirely different appearance."

A grin spread across my face. "YES! I do have a cheat skill!"

I laughed at my reflection, satisfied.

Mother/maids Pov

Knock, knock, knock.

"Princess, it's time to get prepared," Liora and Sylara called out in unison. The door creaked open, and as they took their first step inside, both maids froze, wide-eyed, as the sight before them left them speechless. They dropped everything in their hands.

Without uttering another word, they turned on their heels and rushed straight to the Queen's chambers.

"Let's not burst through the door this time," Liora whispered as they arrived, breathless.

"Agreed," Sylara replied.

They knocked gently.

"Enter," came the Queen's calm voice from inside.

The Queen stood before a tall mirror, her handmaidens carefully adjusting her ceremonial robes.

"Shouldn't you two be with the princess? It's almost time for the announcement," she asked, her tone slightly impatient.

Liora shifted nervously, glancing at Sylara. "About that, Your Majesty..."

"You must come see this," Sylara interrupted, her voice filled with urgency.

The queen's expression tightened. "Is something wrong with the little one?" she asked, her worry barely masked beneath her composure.

"No, Your Majesty," Liora stammered, her voice trembling slightly.

"It's just... you need to see it for yourself."

The Queen quickly dismissed her handmaidens. "Prepare the accessories to match the gown," she instructed as she strode toward the door.

"Now, let's go."

The trio hurried back to the princess's chambers, and when the queen stepped inside, she stopped dead in her tracks.

There, in the center of the room, sat her daughter—the princess—surrounded by swirling mana, pure and radiant. Her silver scales shimmered like a comet blazing through the night sky, her claws illuminated with a soft white glow. Above her head, stars drifted lazily around a crescent moon.

The Queen quietly closed the door, her face a mask of stunned disbelief.

"Is it possible..." Liora whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Could she be..."

Before she could finish, the Queen swiftly raised a hand, placing a finger over Liora's lips. "She is my daughter. The first princess.

Liora and Sylara bowed deeply. "Yes, Your Majesty," they said in unison.

The queen's voice grew firm. "You will vow to never speak of this to anyone."

"Yes Your Majesty," they replied, their heads lowered in solemn agreement.

"Good," her tone softening slightly.

"Stand guard by her door. No one else is to enter, and when she's done, act as though nothing ever happened. This is a test of your loyalty—never forget, you are her first protectors."

"Yes, Your Majesty," they replied in unison, their voices steady with resolve.

As the Queen made her way back to her chambers, she paused in the hallway, taking a deep, steady breath. "No matter what," she whispered, her voice firm with conviction, "you are my daughter, and I will love and protect you with everything I have" Her brows furrowed, a shadow of unease crossing her face, as if the sight before her stirred memories of something long forgotten.
