Chapter 121

Alpha Arlo Bianchi - POV

A pregnant pause surrounded us as I stared at Zachary, who had a faraway look on his face. "My father found her at the edge of the pack border when he was on patrol. And when he looked her in the eye, something stirred within him. A feeling that he has never felt with any of his children. Right then, he didn't have the heart to let her go, so he decided to raise her as his own."

Zachary's statement only confused me further, but I knew he was not lying about this. "Are you aware of your fate?" I asked him after a while when he finally looked at me. Right at that moment, I didn't see the arrogance, anger, or sarcastic look on his face. His face was blank, but his eyes held guilt, I know it was the guilt of killing his sister, who didn't even know why she died.
